I have a maintenance issue that has not been resolved. I am very very unhappy with this service. I am very tired of the run around that I am getting. I want the problem resolved NOW!!! Great Jones is by far the most unprofessional, disorganized and shady company I’ve ever dealt with. They didn’t keep track of the keys to our units, they did nothing to maintain the property or arrange for basic repairs, they didn’t deliver on promises to get units rent ready. They’ve refused to disperse deposit and rent that they’ve collected even after we ended our relationship with them. They’re unresponsive to emails. No one is answering their phones given at their national phone number. And worst of all they seem completely confused and overwhelmed On the rare occasion that you do get an email response from someone. One agent in particular, Terry, has given a master class in poor customer service. I will update this thread as our saga with them continues. But I highly recommend Using them for any services.

Since this may be the only way I can receive help. It’s been incredibly difficulty setting up trash utility. In the state of Alabama whoever owns the house has to set up trash utility. Whenever I call my city, I’m told that I can not set it up, that my landlord or rental company has to set up that utility. I have contacted great jones support several times and have been told they can’t help me. All they’ve done is send a request for trash utility but when I call my city and tell them they’ve sent in a request, I’m told whoever owns the property has to call and fill out a form. I’ve contacted Citizen Home Solutions and even the Maintanence line and again was told they can’t help me. I can not understand how a rental company can not help a tenant set up a vital utility and wouldn’t know the law about trash utility in a state they have rental properties. It’s ridiculous. As stated in my previous review. Do not rent here.

For starters, the Property Manager Laura Nelson is a complete compulsive liar. This company will try to scam you !! They place you in poor properties, take your money, they do not handle their maintenance orders in an appropriate time and the kicker .. we had a leak in the wall prior to our move in and they tried to blame the leak on us and make us pay for it. These unprofessional people / company LAURA NELSON, sent a $2000 balance to collections knowing they were the responsible party. This company really is bad business. Do NOT rent with them.. you will REGRET IT !!!

Worst property management company I’ve used so far. Super high fees, lack of transparency and accountability.. they are always hard to get a hold of and I have lost complete confidence in them looking after any of my properties.

We were asked to pay $4,000 just to rent a $761 house in Reidsville!!! Ridiculous! Our application fee of $100 and time wasted all in vain! I am very disappointed!

On Feb 26th, 2021 my wife and I worked about 21/2 hrs completing Rental Apps till approx. 10:30pm. As we thought about the 1500 sq ft home we decided it was too small and called the next morning at 8:50am to stop any processing of our apps. At 1:00pm I asked about refunding our two $50 fees ($100). Even though I had called early to prevent any work, they will not refund. I have turned the matter over to Bank of America. No Processing had been done and we feel that we should receive our fees totaling $100 back. I would not do business with Great Jones Co. again. Like most people and companies, once they have your money in hand they are keeping it even if no processing work was done. They really could care less about you, the customer.

On 1/31/21 your online portal displayed that I had a total outstanding balance of $910.00 owed for February. I paid that full amount. On 2/1, without any email notification, my rent increase went into effect, which was an extra $36 I didn’t realize was outstanding because the system said I’d paid February in full as of 1/31. I get an email on FEBRUARY 22nd saying I now owe a $95 late fee because your system displayed an incorrect total. When I tried to explain what happened the response was merely a history of my payment history & no acknowledgment that the online portal gave me misadvise on my total owed (a difference of $36). I have never missed a payment & always paid early. I had funds in my bank account to pay the full $946, but considering it wasn’t showing owed for February on 1/31, I paid the displayed total outstanding displayed. The only reason I didn’t pay $946 in full on 1/31 is that your system was displaying an incorrect total owed for the following month. That disproportionally large late fee of $95 should be waived considering I had funds available to cover & would’ve paid immediately had I known that extra $36 was tacked on 2/1. I have screen shots displaying that your portal displayed I had satisfied my total outstanding balance on 1/31 for February. I feel like I’m being punished for paying my rent early because somebody there neglected to input my new lease info into the online portal. I paid the $36 immediately after I was notified it was outstanding. Terrible customer service, this is deceptive & moreso unethical.
