Title of the review says it all. But I mean their live chat customer support service was amazing, they were really helpful and responsive and like I actually felt like there was support from a real actual human staff member while interacting with an online service, which is seldom a user's experience. Wide range of ways to send your file. Options for student/non-commercial rates. Wide range of file types accepted. Final transcript was 20 pages from 1 hour 15mins footage, first 25mins of text was like perfect, 99% accuracy. big chunk in the middle had a higher number of issues maybe like 90% accuracy which was a little disappointing since I paid extra for verbatim, but they give you a word doc so it's not hard to fix up bits where say my interview subject had said "I was the bottom run of the popular group at high school" and the transcript read "I was the one running the popular group at high school" and it was turned around in 8 hours so there was bound to be some error, just be familiar with your content and check for that, there were a lot of these in the middle of my text, this might have been due to the Australian accent of the interview subjects, though I thought it was an Aussie site. Anyway, even though there were issues I'd totally use this service again and recommend it, their time for turn around and cost per minute and their support service were all just ace.

Though I was off to a rocky start, my experience has improved. There is freedom to select whatever task you want to work on, a great transcription tool and a YouTube link so that you can preview a task before you attempt it. payments are made on time and editors are very helpful. I recommend this site to any freelancer. Great work so far

I have only transcribed 2 files cos most of the audio was annoyingly bad. I did a couple of good clips though and it was okay, the tool was not bad and the support was always quick to reply. What I didn't like was to find that I'd have to go and request money, rather than having it sent to. So the very little I had earned was then cut in half by PayPal who apparently charge you for "selling fees" if you start requesting money. Which is a shame. So unfortunately I shall not be wasting any more of my time.

Kudos to GoTranscript for continually developing new ways to improve the experience for transcribers. Recently, they have added new file preview options, and their new editor, while a few bugs need to be ironed out, improves efficiency.

I have not worked with Go Transcript for long but so far, so good. They are reliable, covinient and efficient.

GoTranscript has been a great place to work at so far. You have a chance to choose your own work and when you want to work. The deadlines give room to take breaks while you're working as well. The pay seems fair in comparison to other websites although I didn't expect the percentage that was taken out when I got paid the first time. Some audios can have very low volume or bad quality and that can keep workers from getting to newer files if they can't do older ones so things can be slow in the site sometimes. Rating for work seems mostly fair, but I also wonder where I went wrong when I get a rating lower than what I expected.

A lot of the transcription is easy to transcribe. I think the pay could be somewhat better for the transcription work.
