I've been working part-time for GoTranscript for about 3 years now, both as a transcriber and as an editor. It's a really great company both for beginners and experienced transcribers. It's very flexible since you can work as much or as little as you want and they have a really great support team. They're also very transparent about everything from job requirements to ratings to payment. The only thing they need to improve is the amount they pay to their transcribers (usually around $0.20 - 0.30 per minute) which is a bit lower than most other freelance transcription services and, in general, the audio quality is usually not as good. With that said though, they are true to their word and make payments every Friday and they pay you every single cent you've earned. Nothing is deducted from your earnings, not even PayPal fees. Overall, it's a great company, jobs are always available, their guidelines are very clear and they always pay their transcribers and editors on time. I would highly recommend them to any transcriber looking for some extra cash.

On top of making sure that its workers are being paid on time and have enough job to work on, GoTranscript also has levels to make the client always happy with the work done. There are editors who check transcribers' work, reviewers who check the editors work, and also sometimes mergers who also check the editors' work. This is encouraging since not only does it make us as workers better on every job we handle, but also the client is always happy. GT is a perfect place for newbies who are good in grammar and are looking for a good place to earn some income. The support team is also outstanding. I would encourage anyone, both workers and clients to try GT for a stressfree experience.

It's a great platform for newbies because you get reviews from editors on what to improve on. The website is easy to find your way around and you get to work at your own convenience, plus pick which files to work on. You also earn more for difficult files and have jobs to work on year-round. The feedback from the admin is always guaranteed, so they listen to us and act on it to try improve on the website among other things, not to mention you get paid timely every week!
