I sent a lot of hours of audio to be transcribed for a work project. Transcript after transcript came back with so many inaccuracies that they weren't usable without doing a complete edit whilst listening to the original audio. Many parts make absolutely no sense and that made me doubt whether an actual person had transcribed them at all or if it was voice recognition. I tried on multiple occasions to give feedback to the company and get my transcriptions done properly but they were not helpful at all. I received prompt responses that the incorrect transcripts would be reviewed and then I would quickly receive a 'reviewed' transcript still full of inaccuracies. Tried speaking to someone over the phone who apologised and said they would try to ensure a different transcriber was used to review my documents, still came back unreadable! In the end I gave up and reviewed the documents myself which massively pushed back my project. I'm convinced a lot of the reviews on here have got to be fake or from employees as I can't be the only one!

I had 8 Ukrainian-English translations which required transcripts. This work was for an international documentary to be broadcast all around the world. I was quoted a week and ask to pay upfront. It then took over a month to receive all files. The communication with the management was poor and they were often rude and blunt. My final files had clearly had a translator put the documents through google translate. The quality, timing and customer service all were terrible and I'd highly recommend any professionals to steer clear of this company.

GoTranscript might be good for English, but be carefull with other orders Generally, everything was 7-10 days late, and when not meeting the deadline, no new was given. When contacting them, I was simply told they lacked transcribers in my language. No discount or reimbursment were offered for missed deadline. When I finally received the transcripts, they had called the participants the same name, because they could not hear the difference. I can understand why they did that, but I wished they had contacted me about this. All in all, for me this was a rather bad and unprofessional experience, with absolutely no proactivity by the company. Sad, I really wanted to like them and use them for a large number of transcriptions. In the end, the made too many, mistakes for that to happen.

I think their reviews are fake. The service is terrible, full of mistakes and I posted a review to their site which amazingly never showed up. They say they have a 4.9 rating but if you find the real google review they have a 2.8. They are good at hiding the real google reviews it took me a while to find them.

incredible amount of typos and missed words. The service was a waste. so much time was spent fixing just the first 15 minutes we ended up sending to another service that had no errors.

I had placed two rather large orders (about 10 hours of footage total) for captioning/transcript and subtitling/transcript. I've had nothing but issues since suing the service for these two orders. Not only were they both late (one of the orders still isn't complete weeks after purchasing) but there were several features I asked about prior to the purchase that either didn't work, or weren't available to my order (even though I had spoken with the CEO about them prior to ordering). When asking the company (which is just one guy, the CEO, and a few support staff) about the issues I've been having, the CEO offers no apologies, and sidesteps my questions and concerns as if I should have known what I was getting into. Well, I didn't that's why I asked so many questions before ordering, and now I'm left with an unfinished order that I've already paid for by a company that doesn't understand that the customer is always right. I suggest to everyone who reads this, take your business elsewhere - you're getting SWINDLED.

Received a transcript full of errors, the transcriber wrote down Westfalia piece instead of Westphalia Peace. There were mistakes in every paragraph, I had to re do the work. I was asked to send back the corrected version and after receiving proof of the terrible job done I was denied a refund. Will certainly never use this service again or recommend it to colleagues. Do not waste your money on this service.

Just appalling quality of transcription. Had to go through the whole thing and make corrections to very simple phrases that the transcriber had got completely wrong. Total and utter waste of money.
