Bogus results
About a year ago, I decided to do the online allergy test. To my surprise, I was allergic to many things in my geographic area. Oak, pecan, grass, mold, cockroach. About a year later, I went to an allergist. Did their tests (including blood). I am not allergic to even 1 thing Quello said I was.

Thank you for giving us this feedback and we're sorry you were unhappy with your Quello experience. We use CLIA certified lab in Chicago for all of our allergy testing. The blood spot test detects IgE antibodies, which are your immune system's way of "flagging" certain substances. Testing positive for IgE means your body has noticed that allergen, but not necessarily that you'll have a reaction when you're actually exposed to it, which is what a skin test that an allergist preforms would indicate. This may be the difference in the testing results. Beyond that, testing is only a part of the allergy puzzle which is why we require a consultation with one of our licensed allergy specialists to go over your history and past experience with allergies and allergy treatment. All of these things together provide a fuller picture of your unique allergic profile. We hope you continue to receive the care you need.
