We played 5 courses last week. The first, Barefoot Norman was absurd. Worst shape on the 5. Sand traps were more mud and gravel. Not much fun. The next 3 courses were great! Offsite course and the Love and Fazio layouts. I am a huge Pete Dye fan and really looked forward to finishing on that course. The course is fantastic but course management SUCKS. Rangers were for show and couldn't do anything to move the folks who were behind along. It turned into waiting on every shot and a 5 1/2 hour round. Sad ending to an otherwise beautiful week in Myrtle Beach. When our leader contacted Golf Zoo, he was basically dismissed since we had finished everything. I know we were not alone in our opinions as we had several other golfers voice the same thoughts. Very disappointing of Golf Zoo to automatically side with the Barefoot Management team without verifying if there was a legitimate problem or not. We were told that the same person owned all 4 courses by multiple rangers and they verified that Norman was the worst maintained of the 4 and that the Dye course was phenomenal but we would see that they over scheduled golfers and that they would allow people to play beyond their abilities. Our group has used Golf Zoo before and the results have always been great. I sincerely hope this isn't a change in their philosophy but they have certainly disappointed a group of 8 guys with their lack of concern. Just an update on our issue with the Norman and Dye courses. We are a group of 8 guys that get together once a year from all over the country. The resolution for the 8 of us was to give each of us a 9 rain check to be used on the Love, Fazio or Norman course. A lot of good that does for folks who live in Alabama, Ohio, Michigan and New Hampshire. We will run right down and use them this weekend. Right! Talk about giving someone the sleeves off your vest! The area is fantastic as were the accommodations. I take nothing away from those. The bad taste in mouth from the Norman and Dye courses still remains.

Played 6 rounds in Hilton Head. The complex for our double round was being sold the next day. Poor course conditions and minimal staff on hand. The course we were scheduled to play on Dafuskie island had their carts repossessed the day before. Our rep from golf zoo did a great job finding us course to accommodate 60 golfers but the conditions were sub-par. There was a lack of communication somewhere. Thought the courses should have made us aware of their situations in advance. All in all I think the staff at Golfzoo did an admirable job and will not hesitate to use them again.

Had trouble with hotel reservation. Had to get receipts, make phone calls to get reimbursement. Had to pay $900 out of my own pocket. Needed 4 rooms they only reserved 2.

Kurtis - I am very sorry to hear you did not have a smooth start to your trip due to the two missing hotel rooms. We do value your business and hope that you found our resolution/compensation more than satisfactory. Please let me or any other of our Golf Zoo team members know if you have any other questions or if we can be of assistance on a future golf vacation. Craig Gordon VP of Sales and Marketing

Our group suffered a rainout on third day. Repeated phone calls and e mails are ignored. No reimbursements, as agreed to, have been made to date.

Dealing with GolfZoo was fine. I'm not sure a lot of money was saved vs. doing it myself but it was easy and done timely, the time it saved me to schedule everything was valuable. Unfortunately at the hotel we stayed at my son's laptop was stolen from the room one day while we were out golfing. When discovered and reported to the hotel the room service person for our room "had gone on vacation for a week". Although management promised corrective action it has now been 2 months and they do not return follow-up inquiries so that ruined an otherwise great experience.

This was the most difficult of the several trips I have used Golf Zoo for, several emails and phone calls to get what we wanted... End of the day it worked out and I will most likely use them again next year!

In November, our group of eight golfers went to Casa de Campo, in Dominican Republic for the second time. We booked through Golf Zoo, and Glen Parizo was our contact. Our experience was positive, for the most part. The booking was prompt, payment was easy, and Glen was very helpful when we changed our tee times. Two issues that I would address: I did not realize that Golf Zoo does not handle dinner and spa reservations. Fortunately, I figured that out in time to call the resort and book. Second, we had a charge of $400 on our credit card for transportation, which was included in our package. I emailed Glen, who is on leave, and his cover. Neither responded to me. I then called the resort, and the charge was refunded. All in all, however, Golf Zoo is the way to go.
