Gold Standard Moving and StorageReviews of goldstandardmoving.com

Gold Standard Moving and Storage offers true professional service. They went above and beyond to care for my items and I am very thankful for this. The level of communication that they offered was amazing. They kept me in the loop every step of the way. If you have a move coming up I would highly recommend Gold Standard Moving and Storage.

I have used this moving company to move my 1 bedroom apartment from Laurel, MD to Baltimore, MD, and they were very timely, professional, and reasonably priced.

DO NOT USE! I’m sure they will respond with “It’s just an estimate, final charges could be different” but that is what you should be concerned about. I forfeited a $996 deposit, which I was under the impression was the only deposit (1/3 of total estimated expenses). I understand “fine print” always gets you. Their tactic is to call just a few days before your scheduled move date to verify inventory and then send an updated estimate that is now almost $2600 more than the original estimate because I added 15 plastic totes from the garage and a standard 3 seat couch. However, I removed a side by side refrigerator, an ottoman and two fabric high back chairs as we sold those items. Understandably there was going to be a little more than originally estimated, even after the items we removed, but $2600 worth because now the plastic totes require additional labor and packing materials etc. as we were told? It’s a scam. I understand an increase in expense to cover the additional totes but there is no way on this earth that the totes (after we also removed the second couch added at the inventory check) would equate to almost $2600. It left us in fear that we would potentially have to pay more to the movers upon pick up and delivery or else they will hold our items hostage until paid. If you have read the horror stories about moving brokers treat them as accurate. Even those that appear to have great Google Ratings and are rated well with the BBB. If you look at their Google ratings they are all 5 star. Even Disney World doesn’t have only 5 star ratings. They claim they are not affiliated with Gold Standard Relocation Services but I believe that is a lie. I think a simple name change allowed them to keep doing business but I could be wrong. My advice, hire a reputable moving company and yes it will cost more but peace of mind and good business ethics will likely be included.

This company lived up to its name cause their service was GOLD. 10/10 satisfied for the amazing work they did helping me moving out . Recommend this company to anybody looking for excellent service when it comes to moving . Will definitely call them again when moving day comes again

Fast and reliable. I appreciate there hard work and help with everything. Made the move very easy for me. Please call them if u are moving soon, u wont regret it. Thanks again guys!

Gold Standard, the best movers I’ve ever had. I’ve dealt with plenty of movers before and nothing even comes close to how great these guys were. Professional. Great communication. Handled everything, asked the right questions. I simply paid and sat back. Gets no better than that! A must hire, in Florida.

Now I understand how they came up with their name. They were fast and also professional and from what I have witnessed with previous movers, those are two difficult things to blend. Needless to say, if I had to hire another mover all over again I still would make the same choice.

Really great, thoughtful service. I have a couple of valuable items that are really tricky to move without damaging. They did a great job of packing my things and moving them no problem. I barely had to tune my instruments!
