Golden Corral use to be a special Sunday out with the family when I was a kid - It was always clean and the food was good - No matter which location we found ourselves. Flashforward 35 years and it seems nothing stays the same, well maybe the food. Our recent visits only take place of the request of our daughter. she likes the desert bar and Maria (our usual server). The place needs to be updated so badly - the carpet is honestly disgusting. Dirty and the whole pace has a "smell" underlying of the food being pumped out like a factory. The steak, if you can get it is usually too dry, the chicken is basically good but never available without a wait. The Mexican and Italian choices really need help and the cost keeps increasing. Seems to me if your making more money on the people that want to visit ~ you could at least clean the place up. Is 2022 not 1982. No wonder they are closing. Not a big loss, unfortunately...

Went to Golden Corral on yesterday (3-18-23). They LIED, none of the rooms were booked. This was at 2pm central time/ Horn Lake MS. No one in line and the doors were locked. WHY, hardly anyone inside. Dish washer broken, no plates, no silverware, no food out to eat. After being inside 45mins. Then when leaving they had the doors locked again. Only about 15 customers inside. People waiting outside in the COLD about 45 mins. Management got the doors lock, standing around BS and talking. Most of the servers outside smoking and chit chatting on their phones. Just think if I had those buses to come there on yesterday. All those people from NC would've been standing in the COLD. The come inside to COLD FOOD. I made a promise, I will NOT RETURN. Especially after being LIED too about the rooms being all booked with parties at 2pm. My family (10) and I ate in one of the booked rooms. It was 3 other sets of people in this same room. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Used to come here as a kid with the whole family and it was so fun and tasty, but I haven’t been in some time so this review is slightly outdated 😅

Today my family and I ate at Golden Corral for a late lunch, the buffet and the entire ninety minutes we were there, there was almost nothing on the buffet, we were charged $40.51 total for three buffets for the buffet line being close to empty. My husband talked to one of the employees as none of the three managers could be bothered to talk to a customer. The only thing they were keeping up with was grilled cheese sandwiches. Who wants to eat a grilled cheese sandwich when you pay over twelve dollars a person? I don’t, it’s pretty sad when a manager can’t be bothered, then get excuses saying they are working on getting the buffet line filled, I for one not buying it. If they are going to continue to drive up prices and not have anything on the buffet line except what’s obvious what’s been on there for a long time, you will not only lose my business but I will tell everyone that I come across not to go to Golden Corral because they keep only old food on the line. The servers are just as annoyed the managers because they don’t want to do anything nor can’t be bothered to talk to a customer. Our server was a sweetheart, she really did a great job in taking care of us but her other customers as well.

The register did not print the number for my reward. Talked to manager and he could not fix it. He told me to do online later. I talked to them by email and still not fixed. Very frustrating! 8/3/22 Problem solved! Thanks!

The location of Golden Corral in Rockford Illinois has almost hit bottom. Since the Covid transmission has again increased, one would hope that restaurants would take proper precautions. Not at Golden Corral!! Cashier on entering has not learned that "under the nose" masking is useless. The manager wore his mask under his lip. Our waiter was asked to properly wear his mask if he continued to come to our table obviously did not know how to wear it, as several of the other servers didn't know either. The clincher was that the grill guy took his mask off completely! This is the second time that I have seen this lack of concern for the health of others at Golden Corral, and I can't figure out if the people are that ignorant that work there, or if the executives at the top just do not care? Regretfully, no more visits to any Golden Corrals from now on until it is safe to do so.

This location exhibits prejudice behavior. I've never experienced such out and open discrimination at a restaurant. Two ladies and myself were waiting at the grill area for burgers. The employee that was grilling the burgers, only served the lady that was the same ethnicity as himself. He purposely did not serve me nor the other lady, which were of another ethnicity. The manager and supervisor had to get involved. Knowingly, they kept him on the grill. This should of never have happened nor tolerated.

Golden Corral- As the daughter of a veteran and a wife of an active duty sailor, I love your company but I am royally pissed off with this LOCATION in El Cajon, CA. I ordered delivery from them tonight (Veterans Day- skipping out of the free meal for dine in). The delivery driver, who was outstanding, called to let us know that the meatloaf (odd when we did not order meatloaf) was not ready, while on the phone a Golden Corral EMPLOYEE was SCREAMING AT HIM- loud enough that my husband could hear. A few minutes later he called back to let us know that the same lady said that ANOTHER DRIVER picked up the order (when Doordash confirmed that this was not the case and we never received another delivery). The driver and us insisted she remake the order, and he was sent on his way. We received SOME of the order, missing a meal and my husband's steak was burnt even though he specifically asked for medium rare (REMEMBER A TWO MEAL ORDER- bourbon chicken and rice, and steak). You need to at least refund my missing bourbon chicken order before I even think about removing this review. Tried to call you first, but the phone line is also busy for this location every time I call.
