The device review and Instant Cash eligibility are separate steps, which is why we may request device and banking information before a final eligibility decision can be made. If Instant Cash is not available, customers may still choose to sell their device through the standard trade-in option — but there is no obligation to do so. We’re sorry this experience was frustrating. BuckUp is not a cash advance service — we provide Instant Cash based on the value of eligible devices. Your payment was sent to the PayPal account provided, but PayPal placed a hold on the funds. Unfortunately, PayPal holds and release timing are outside of BuckUp’s control. We understand how frustrating it is to expect immediate access to your payment and then have it delayed by the receiving platform.

BuckUp supports many checking accounts, but bank connections depend on the data and connectivity available through our banking provider, and some accounts may not connect successfully even when the account itself is active and in good standing. We understand how frustrating that is, especially after several days of troubleshooting.

Devices must also meet our qualification requirements before funds can be provided. If a device does not qualify, you are not required to send it to BuckUp. Ouch! Those are some strong words. We don't advertise a guaranteed $500 payout. Our Instant Payouts range from $100–$500, depending on the device, account history, and other eligibility factors, and we try to make that as clear as possible. There isn't a bait-and-switch. The $1/day service fee only applies if you choose to continue with the transaction. I checked your account, and it looks like the $5 charge has already been refunded.
