I called go assist for a replacement glass (inner) door for my oven i was told the engineer would be out in 5 days with the glass and he would fit it, we paid £139 for the call out and was told we would be charged for the part separately, we had researched the cost of the part and knew it was approximately £50 so we agreed. The engineer arrived on the agreed day and told me he had to "assess" the problem before he could order any parts, this was 3 weeks before Christmas and 2 days before we were due to leave for 2 weeks away, when I explained that we where told he would bring the glass with him he said that's not how it works? I then received an email mail to say the price of the new glass was £249!!!! I told them I dont want it and wanted a refund as I felt strongly we had been misled, I called customer service who bbasitold me there was nothing they could do regarding a refund of the call out charge so I escalated my concern to a formal complaint and I've heard nothing....I will be going to the ombudsman but want to strongly advise others NOTBTO USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Useless, engineer said the fridge was broken and should be replaced (we knew it was broken, that's why we called!). Easy money, I might just be an "engineer". He couldn't fix it, so go paid without doing anything but tell us what we called him out for.

I dont know where to start again.i cancelled because of this outrages company got our money back. I got a message from Donnelly’s plumbers to say there was an engineer coming out today. I don’t even know who made this appointment it’s certainly not or my husband that made this appointment. I never even called go assist it’s a waste of time speaking to them watch out

Horrible company. Stay away. I went with them as I had an urgent repair to be done. They sold me the insurance as well which I didn't mind. They couldn't fix the problem and on second visit they wanted to pay me high price for the part claiming they use a genuine part. There was no labour charge but it was obvious the part covered the labour charge as well. Later I got it fixed through someone else's and came to know that the product is discontinued and there is no chance if getting a genuine spare part for it. I lost the initial payment I made but happy to be rid of them. The good reviews here all seem fake. Have a look at reviews on other sites as well and you will hear the same.

Rapiar cal out fee £139 2400w heating element needed replacing on my cooker. Retail cost on Amazon =£14.99 Cost from goassist without taking cover - £95.56 If I took out 12 months cover ay 13.99 a month for 12 months cost would be £56. Turned down cover on initial call. Freelance engineers they use can't fit the part they have in the van until they get the go ahead that I've paid. Charlatans

I contacted this company online because my cooker had a problem (a rattling oven fan), I was assured by their agent (Natalie) that they could fix it. How much? The quote I got was for £89, but this price was dependent on taking out an insurance with them for £13.50 per month. I didn’t want that, so the price became £129 (excluding any parts needed). I accepted this as a one off repair. The agent tried very hard to persuade me to take the insurance, and asked if I had a gas boiler or car. I insisted that I only wanted a repair. Eventually I paid the £129. It struck me as odd that I had to pay before the repair had been done. A couple of hours later I was telephoned by an engineer, and agreed an appointment with him for Monday 27th. When he came he obviously knew what he was doing, and recommended a new fan. In the course of our conversation he told me that he had his own cooker repair company, and, rather than going through Goassist, I could have employed him directly. He told me that the new fan would be £35. I agreed with that, and he told me that he would have to tell Goassist, and I would have to pay for the part through them. I then got an email from them asking for payment. However they asked for £75 rather than £35. I could pay £35, but I would also have to pay the £13.50 per month insurance. If I didn’t proceed with the repair, my initial £129 would be forfeit. I paid the £75. The engineer was aghast. This company are only interested in squeezing as much money out of you as possible by creating a web that is impossible to get out of without losing your initial payment. I will definitely never use them again, and strongly advise anyone else to do the same.

Requested a quote thought it was high so didn’t go for it now they are texting none stop from different numbers calling me and emailing me! STOP

SCAM! The sales agents (eg Ollie) are dishonest. All they want to do is take your money and run. They tell you what you want to hear. If you want appointment on Tues they’ll say yes, now pay in advance. Then, after payment, you get a message saying the engineer can only come on Friday. They are dishonest and NEVER accept responsibility. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY.
