Very bad and very useless

Also would give zero if I could. Took 3 praxis exams at home. First one the proctoru proctor who was also a technician- fooled around with my computer for 45 minutes to get exam loaded. My anxiety leveled before taking the test was through the roof. Finally got going and was fine. Second exam the proctor made me change things about the room I was in that the first didn’t. I couldn’t understand the person and they used words that didn’t make sense - a non native speaking English with heavy accent. One hour of waiting because of their incompetence before I could get started. She was downloading a Mac file and I have a PC. Three times before I said something to her. She accused me of hiding someone in the room! What? Each time I was done taking a test I shut down the computer because I was done, saw other postings that indicated they announced to proctor that they were done. Rules are vague and not clearly articulated. Proctors do not go over rules or through a process that’s consistent it differs each time depending on the proctor. Third test was an absolute hideous disaster. I work on my dining room table and the proctor told me to remove my vase. I did. Remove my pencil holder. Went on and on. One by one all objects on the table. I finally got so mad I scooped up all of the junk on the table and threw it on my bed. The madder I got at her playing with me - that’s what I felt she was doing- as these things were NOT a problem to the other two proctors. Was I going to hide secrets under my vase- then what? Pick it up while I’m on camera? ALSO- and here’s the worse part- IF I was told that I needed a space clear of all objects- I would have removed them before not while I was in a test taking mode-anxious to do one thing- the test. Then she found issues with the doors that don’t stay shut that connect to a bedroom where the only source of light to the interior space where I was working. If I had known I would have moved lights into the space so I could see. By the time I began I was furious! Then as I took the test she interrupted me frequently because my head wasn’t in the square of their camera. I had to move closer to be able to read the passages because it was so dark in there. She was tormenting me. Then I was done and a half hour after I was done someone was talking from my computer. Their camera was still on and the voice was telling me I needed to show my plastic sleeve to them again. WTH? Very creepy. They don’t know what they’re doing. These people take over your computer and get into the power they have over you during this process. The differences in how they treated me in the 3 examples showed me that. Needless to say I couldn’t concentrate and I was upset all day. I would not recommend anyone use this service. If I am taking a reading or writing test that’s based on passages, WHERE am I going to get information to cheat? What am I going to find to help me? It all comes from my head! Their interference to the testing process was offensive, obtrusive and not necessary. Cameras and microphones and taking over my computer on a timed test was quite enough. I was busy thinking and taking a test and being interrupted to move my head. Unbelievable. Terrible experience!

If I could rate it a zero I would. They take your money. Straight up thieves this company is. There is no refund when they fail to inform you of a firewall blocking access to their site. They took $150 off me after telling me I was good to take my exam, yet they failed to inform customers of firewall. When I emailed a concern, it fell on deaf ears. I recommend to not use proctor U. Thieves

I took a praxis exam last night, due to the pandemic I opted for the test at home option. This was the 2nd exam at home I’ve taken. The first exam, it took 1 hour to “log into and on to” the exam. After logging in and on to the first exam, I had no real problems, and expected that to happen last night. Little did I know! Last night was a hot dumpster fire of a mess! I logged on in 2 minutes flat, so I was stoked! Expecting to get right into the exam, but about 5 questions in, my proctor takes over my exam when the communication module pops up and they ask “you are having connections issues may I take over your mouse so you don’t lose time”. Of course I don’t want to be penalized by losing time so I say yes. They download the extension which was NOT done when I logged in the exam. After waiting the required time to log back into my test, I go, and I get to a good bit further in the exam, and they pop back up, same thing “can I take over your mouse so you don’t lose time?” I sigh roll my eyes and say yes. Who wants to be penalized for time? This happens 5 to 6 times. I get to the constructive response essays, the end of the exams, I am writing my tail off and BOOM happens again. 5th or 6th different person asks to take over my mouse, “so you don’t lose time” I start crying on video. I am given my mouse back and I’m back in my essay crying while writing my essay. I don’t know if PU gets a kickback for failures or not because that was in the back of my head, but I got angry. I sucked it up! I wrote my tail off. Like a FU to everyone who is trying to derail me. FU!

Terrible user experience. The worst I've encountered in a long time. Would stay away.

I would give a negative 10 stars if I could. I have a perfectly good running computer, but they say they couldn't get my computer screen to connect, yet I saw myself moving and have done ZOOM meetings etc. Never a problem, and after 2 hours they can't make it work and asked me to reschedule, which my exam was due today. They asked me to reboot my computer twice. This is ridiculous. I'm going to write to my university and let them know that my Professor is requiring my exam to be taken through this company but they can't seem to provide the service.

I was scheduled to take my Praxis ll. I went through all of the system checks with ease. Once It told me enter the exam, the system check that comes after was acting up. The person I was chatting with was being rude and making me feel stupid and that it was my fault for not notifying them sooner. Really lady ???? I know have to reschedule and have to pay the fee all over again because I missed a good chunk of my testing time. So upset.... I think they do this to make more money off of people.

Kept me waiting for 45 minutes before allowing me to take the test. Had to do a 360 angle of my rooms, talking them trough the proces, not too slow, not too fast. Could've been a MTV Cribs episode. When i was done, connection dropped on their end and proctor could not see me anymore for some reason. Then she asked me to log back in, for which i needed to go into my pass manager. When i asked if she could take back control because no way i would go into my pass vault with them watching she clearly did not understand. I guess the 5 lines of english on script were not present and she had no idea how to communicate. After 1 hour of struggles and being out of my concentration zone i was finally allowed to start. Only to hear background noises during the first 10 minutes. After i asked rather informal if they can shut down the background noise they did.
