I am only giving one star because it is the only choice to leave a review. These people are extremely unprofessional. They take forever to let you start your test. I was scheduled for a test at 11:00am, and I did not start until 1:30pm. This is just one example of the multiples times I had to go through this. Also, they manage to restart your computer and I just do not even feel comfortable with someone having access to my computer. I wish schools did not use this site. It is frustrating to start a test two hours later, by the time they let you start your test, you are angry, with a headache, frustrated and a lot of time already feel sleepy after two hours attempting to start. It is ridiculous!

It is shocking that this platform still exists. The proctors and technicians are absolutely clueless about everything. They keep restarting the computer. They quit on you with no warning. I wouldn't wish proctoru on my most hated enemy. Bottom-barrel service.

I constantly have issues, 40 minutes past my test time, too many useless updates, overall awful, upsetting, distressing experience.

As an online college student, I've grown to dislike Proctoru immensely. In my last test, a gentleman by the name of Manur Begum P. was my proctor. During ID verification, he took control of the screen and took the photo himself--of me with my head diagonal and eyes mid-blink, and then of a blurred license. When I attempted to contact him, he often didn't respond for 3-7 minutes at a time. Once he attempted to open a cookied browser that other proctors had previously avoided, and then he repeatedly and aggressively clicked at the link, even after I informed him that the Guardian login had not ever worked for the other proctors. I had to repeatedly wrestle the mouse from him when he tried to close my page and re-open the trackers, even though he could still clearly see all pertinent webpages. Additionally, I have had other proctors who were openly disrespectful of my elderly grandfather, curtly and sourly commanding him to leave the room when my grandfather was just helping me login for the first time on a computer. (My elderly grandfather is a kind, gentle man who planned to leave as soon as I was logged in, but the ProctorU proctors had no sense.) Another problem is that the proctors have incredibly thick accents. I have Indian friends, but still can't understand the proctors and have to guess most of what they say. I understand that an accent is hard to change - but Proctoru should hire people an average American teen or college student can communicate with. I DON'T recommend.

unhelpful staff, useless and unresponsive website, literally nothing works and I paid almost 200 euros for this. Can't even take my exam because now any time I ask for help it doesn't find an agent to help me sign up for an exam.

I was supposed to take an exam! when I log in they ask to have full control of my computer, which I explained that I cannot give as I have confidential data! Well the instructor started being rude and pointing out everything I did wrong while waiting for example I had my headphones on.. I left to get water... SO UPROFESSIONAL! At the end I did not take my exam!

I’ve used this service to take tests a few times over the past few months and honestly I didn’t have too much trouble. Unfortunately I had to take one recently and it was easily such a bad experience that I don’t intend on using the service again. I’ve used the same computer to take all the previous tests on, I checked the computer through their pre check and it was doing fine. I try to take the test and it took a noticeably longer time than before for the proctor to get with me. Did all the pre check stuff showing my room and she went through her script, said something incoherent and just “hung up” on me. I didn’t know what to do so I kept waiting then she messages me through the chat box asking if I should be transferred to tech support. I asked a question in the chat box, she didn’t respond then just transferred me. I asked the tech support a question, they ignored me and asked to reset my computer. I just complied, a reset later, and I’m back to the previous tech and asked again. Only for her to finally say that the script wouldn’t run on my computer that didn’t have problems with previous tests. With all the waiting around this entire process took around an hour and was a waste of time as I ended up not taking my test. Straight up, use anything else because this was ridiculous.

Absolutely useless, the person paused my exam, and asked me to show the room, afterwards come into my browser and freeze my laptop, and she wanted to restart my laptop but I even wasn’t able to write and sent messages to her or to talk, absolutely disgusting and awful, very very disappointed, she come into my laptop and destroyed everything and freeze my laptop. Need to change the agents!
