As I was reviewing the transcripts I was also listening to the audio. Many words were missed or excluded and some of the words were recorded as unaudioable, however I was able to hear what was being. I also paid for verbatim, but many "ums" and other like words were missing.

Hi Sheaton, I’m very sorry that your experience with us was less than great. Your satisfaction means everything to us, so please contact me so I can further understand your situation. Regards, Beth Worthy Director of Operations

It took longer than it was supposed to. After the due date passed, I was told it was difficult audio (2 people, one on speaker phone, no background noise) and I would be charged more. When I finally received the final document, I expected some inaudibles marked, but there are so many! And I have to review the whole document because I've caught a few mistakes in text that wasn't flagged for audio issues. I have now spent an hour going through the audio and fixing the text and still have another half to go. My only consolation is that I didn't have to do the full transcription and my job is reimbursing me. I've missed a few deadlines and am now hoping to get this piece up before the end of this week.

Hi Kimberly, We apologize for the inconvenience your experienced. When an order is submitted to us as good audio, we allot the amount of time it will take us for good quality audio. When we found that the speakers were very muffled in your audio making it difficult, the turnaround time may have been delayed because difficult audio takes much more time to complete. If we knew it was difficult audio in the beginning, we would have allotted enough time to start with. Also, we cannot guarantee accuracy on difficult files because sometimes we just cannot understand what is being said, but we always do our very best to accurately transcribe to the best of our ability. We would be happy to discuss any concerns you had or even take a second look at the transcript if you would like. Please contact me at [email protected] if you have any further questions or concerns about your audio. Regards, Beth Worthy Director of Operations

I really didn't like that I had to call to ask for some proof of who translated my both certificate.

Hi Andrea, My name is Beth Worhy, and I'm the Director of Operations at GMR Transcription. I am sorry that you felt that way about the translation work we did for you. All of our customers have different needs and for that reason, we have an instructions box on the website where you submit your order where customers are able to enter their request. We would have gladly fulfilled your request had it been done prior to the completion of the project. I hope this clears up any confusion. If you have any questions, you can contact me at: [email protected]. Regards, Beth Worthy Director of Operations

Not our 1st time using this service and upload process hindered us in getting our files in a timely manner. Did work with us on reducing rush rate that we appreciated to keep our business.

We're happy that we were able to help you come to a resolution and offer you a discount on your order. Should you want to discuss this further, you can reach me at [email protected]. The work is always reliably done, but PROOFREAD for technical terms the transcriptionist may not be familiar with or may not be presenting the text the way you finally intend. Once transcription is done, demand for payment can be quite strong and immediate.
Response from GMR Transcription Services, Inc.Mar 4, 2015
Hi Matthew, I appreciate your feedback on our transcription services. Our transcriptionists will not be familiar with all technical terms; however, we do have a special instructions box where you can list your terminology before the project is submitted. Also, every project done by us goes through a proofing phase. We do politely send out friendly reminders to inform clients that their transcript is complete a couple days after it has been done. I apologize if you found it to be demanding. Let me know if you have any questions as I would be happy to clarify any of the points mentioned above. Sincerely, Beth Worthy, Director of Operations

For this job, I submitted 15 interviews of considerable length. They came back in batches, each with different formatting. Some docs had no formatting whatsoever Some had question/answer structure with "interviewer" "interviewee" labels. Some had question/answer structure with speaker names. Some had question/answer with made-up speaker names. Some had indenting, some didn't. Before sending the transcripts to the client, we needed to spend a lot of time re-formatting for consistency.

Hi Chris, I am sorry for the confusion. One of our associates has reached out to you to clarify the issue. There is an instruction box we have on our site where customers can specify special instructions they need for the project. There's also a special tab on that panel where you can upload any special templates for our transcribers to follow. Perhaps that was overlooked. When there are no special instructions stated, our transcribers will transcribe in our standard format. Again, I apologize for the confusion here. Let me know if you have any further questions by contacting me at [email protected]. I would be happy to clarify further. Sincerely, Beth Worthy, Director of Operations

GMR was a good service. The challenge was their transcripts that used both languages. Also, if sending more than one transcript, expect them to come back in different formats. I've had some that include people's names - to indicate who spoke when. I've had others where it was just interviewer and interviewee. One transcript I had a challenge with was one that was split - because there were 2 languages. They were 2 different transcripts - one had time stamps the other didn't - so when thinking about how to put them back together, I had a hard time - until I listen to the recording.

Hi Melissa, I truly appreciate you taking the time to write this review, and I apologize for the inconsistencies in the formatting. When our clients upload their files in our portal, there is an option to leave some notes with special instructions to indicate how they want their transcript formatted. Perhaps this option was overlooked. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I will be sure to share with my team. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. – Beth Worthy, Director of Operations
