I wish I could give this company zero stars. GlobalTel appears to operate under a name very similar to GlobalTel Link, which was extremely misleading. After signing up, my credit card was automatically charged $49.99. I believed I was setting up services to receive collect calls from a local jail, but when the calls would not connect, I realized I had mistakenly paid the wrong company. When I contacted customer service to request a refund and explained the confusion, I was informed that there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee simply for creating an “account.” The representative was dismissive and repeatedly stated that the fee was listed in the terms and conditions, even though I “signed up” over the phone. I asked them to send me a copy of the recording in which I supposedly agreed to the terms and conditions, but, of course, they never sent it. Instead, they sent numerous emails encouraging me to “try their service” and send a postcard to my loved one. I explained that I did not want to use their services; I only wanted a full refund. I plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company because I do not believe this business practice is fair or transparent. After reading many similar reviews from other customers, I strongly encourage people to research carefully before providing payment information to this company.

Horrible misleading company. My minor child had my phone all of my information auto added. Now I have a subscription that I never signed up for nor never will use. I contacted the company. They refused to escalate the issue to a higher authority refuse to refund me.

Should have came here first! They got me firv$54.99. This company is not the correct Global to use for inmate calling!

Scam don’t give your money to this company. They state they refund your money but don’t. POS Company disgusting!!!!!!!

The website is named to be misleading. There is nothing that directly indicates you are "purchasing a service" on the landing page. There is no visible place to "Cancel" despite their own web site search indicating that there is. When called, they refuse a full refund stating "terms of service" allow for a 19.99 charge to refund your money even if you've never used it or how quickly you cancelled.

GlobalTel is a SCAM company operating and advertising under the similar company name of GlobalTel Link. When you sign up they automatically charge your credit card $49.99. When I was unable to be connected because I HAD SENT PAYMENT TO THIS SCAM COMPANY OPERATING UNDER A NAME SO SIMILAR, I realized they got me. I called to request a refund for these reasons and was told that there was a $19.99 cancellation fee because I had set up an “account” with them. The representative was rude and insisted the company had a right to charge this fee because it was in their terms and conditions. I'm called my credit card company and I’m disputing this charge. I don’t know what the outcome will be but I won’t let them keep my money without a fight.
