Gilbert H Wild and SonReviews of gilberthwild.com

Ordered one specific plant but received a "company pick" instead. Contacted the company and the response was too bad so sad we can send you whatever we want, read the small print. The item I ordered was listed on its own page with its own selection option but that was NOT what I received. I certainly will NOT be using this vendor in the future

This is the response I have received from Wilde and Sons in Sale. My decorator took the top layer off my beading and I had to pay £150 extra to get this fixed by Wilde and Sons, for 4 pieces of beading and 2 door plates. They flatly refused to do it as a goodwill gesture and apparently the price was reduced to fit it. Liz could not do enough before the job had finished and now has put the phone down on me. I paid my money on the day as they asked. I have never dealt with anyone so rude and unprofessional! Same old story, once they have your money the aftercare is non existent. Not sure what she means when I spoke to her on the phone as was chasing my refund which she advised I would get! Hi Liz Any idea when I will be getting the refund please? Hi Liz Thank you for speaking to me earlier. I’m disappointed that you didn’t have the courtesy to reply to my email to advise your accounts are on annual leave and I had to chase you twice! I paid my money on the day of fitting like you asked. As you know I’m out of pocket after everything that has happened so the refund is appreciated. I just think the aftercare is a little slow. Kind regards Hi Marie, I am sorry I don’t appreciate your email and the way you have just spoken to me on the phone. Your email came through at 5.30pm on Thursday after we closed and no one was here and then I was off yesterday as I had family commitments and when you called this morning, I was with a customer. I took your second call when you called back as I was then free and explained that Carol was off today and it was only the sales team in today with-it being weekend but I would speak to her on Monday as soon as she was back in and you would receive your partial refund. We have gone above and beyond, and I have always answered every call and email after you decorator had damaged the flooring, and communication has always been had so I'm unsure where this has all come from. I will speak to Carol on Monday then will advise when the refund has been sent. Thanks Liz

Order a chinesse money plant received a dying seedlings only had one root died in 9 days. Was nothing like advertised

Just got my order, very pleased. You could tell the plants were still alive. They were packaged well and had alot of dirt on them. I plantedcthem right when they came and now, about a week latter they are coming back to life. I will order from them again.

Bought two different selections of Hostas. Different description, different picture on web, same number of bare root plants. One $25, one $62.50. Got them. Different name on shipped invoice. Same name on the two bags. Yet, I paid $62.50 for one, $25 for the other. I called. I was told the two packages are intended to contain the same thing. A few minutes later I called back and said I paid $37.50 more for one than the other. I was refunded that amount. I check the website over a week later and they are still being sold exactly the same. Not a good business practice to earn trust from customers.

My plants are very healthy and, in fact, my Veronica's have lovely flowers. They package their plants very carefully. The prices on my selections were some of the best that I found.

Shipped fast and got beautiful, healthy iris and day lilies as I had when I bought them previously. Very, very pleased with this company. So many places I ordered from came dried out roots only, these are true little daylily and iris plants. The others I bought from GBW are thriving and beautiful. Definitely will keep buying from this company.

I ordered five plants which I was truly excited to receive two of the plants were smaller than my thumb in actual growth and probably won't survive. It looks as though they took small plugs of barely rooted plants shoved them into court pots and filled them with soil around them so basically you got plants that weren't properly rooted into the containers they were shipped in. Still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer but I have no hopes
