GhostSwap Looks legit at first glance—but my swap never arrived, no support reply, and I now believe it’s a scam
GhostSwap’s slick, professional design lures you into thinking it’s a trustworthy, no-KYC swapper. That’s exactly why I used it. Unfortunately, my experience ended with a missing swap, zero follow-up from support, and a pile of red flags I wish I’d seen earlier. What happened (with proof): I initiated a swap into ~0.003 BTC. I followed the on-screen instructions and sent XLM to the deposit address shown on the GhostSwap order page. You can verify both sides here: My GhostSwap order page (shows the deposit address and my deposit): Exchange ID: tuidapmqvbvejond The on-chain XLM payment (confirms the funds left my wallet and hit their address): stellarchain Operation ID: 251452867549237249 Despite the confirmed deposit, the BTC never arrived. The order did not complete, and there’s been no refund. I contacted every support channel GhostSwap advertises—no response: I used email , website live chat, Telegram, Twitter/X, and even submitted a Zendesk ticket via their help prompts. Crickets. No follow-up, no resolution, no refund. (GhostSwap’s own pages list live chat + support email as their help channels.) Public signals others should know about before risking funds: Trustpilot: As of today, GhostSwap’s profile shows only a handful of reviews with a mixed pattern—including 1-star “scam/lost money” reports—and a note that the company “Typically takes over 1 month to reply” to negative reviews. That lines up with my no-response experience. BitcoinTalk (Scam Accusations): There’s a dedicated thread titled “[SCAM] GhostSwap – Fake No-KYC Crypto Exchange! Community Alert!” (active mid-June 2025), where community members document similar concerns. Worth reading before you transact. ScamAdviser: Flags ghostswap.io with a very low trust score, notes the domain is relatively new (registered Jan 15, 2024), and highlights multiple risk factors. New domains plus custodial flow + no KYC is a combo that deserves extra caution. KYCNOT.me: Rates GhostSwap 2/10 overall (“Really Bad”), with Privacy: 31 (“Bad”) and Trust: 0 (“Terrible”). That’s an unusually poor community reputation score for a “privacy-first” swapper. KYCnot Why I’m posting this: I’m sharing these links so others can independently verify everything. If GhostSwap is legitimate and this was some rare edge-case, they have all they need to find my order from the URLs above, complete the swap, or at least get it touch with me. Until then, I can only conclude from my experience and the public signals above that using GhostSwap is unsafe. My ask to GhostSwap: If you are not a scam, prove it. Use the order and transaction links above to locate my swap. Send the missing BTC immediately or get in touch with me, then explain what went wrong and how you’ll prevent this for others. My advice to the public: Avoid GhostSwap until there’s clear evidence they resolve cases like mine and responsive support is consistent. Always test with a tiny amount first and verify swaps complete promptly. Prefer reputable, well-audited services with long histories and active support. I wish I weren’t writing this, but my funds are gone and support is silent. Please be careful.
