GhosteryReviews of ghostery.com

Ghostery is the best app i have downloaded. I hate websites spying on me and my information so i am ecstatic at the results i have had from ghostery. They just send me an info blast that said it had stopped over 15,000 unwanted attempts to get my info and lots of other things like stopping ads, etc. Everyone should get it, its free and on every browser.

Ghostery has become an essential part of my everyday browsing. It gives me clear visibility into what’s happening behind the scenes on websites, especially the number of trackers and scripts running without my knowledge. That level of transparency alone makes it incredibly valuable. Beyond that, it noticeably improves page load times and overall performance by blocking unnecessary elements. Sites feel cleaner, faster, and less cluttered, which makes a real difference during long browsing or research sessions. What I appreciate most is the control it offers. I can easily allow or block specific trackers depending on the site, so I’m not forced into an all-or-nothing approach. It strikes a good balance between usability and privacy without requiring constant tweaking. For anyone who cares about privacy, performance, or simply understanding how websites behave, Ghostery is a very practical and reliable tool.

Brilliant. it blocks youtube ads, there isnt a subscription pop-up, it works in Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, everywhere, i havent seen an ad since, AND i get live update from a little pop-up window. how can this get any better?!

I've used Ghostery for years as an ad blocker on Firefox, my primary browser and Edge. It reliably blocks YouTube ads.

I downloaded Ghostery because there was one web site I need to use, and the site was unusable because of ads. I would have paid the website a small fee to remove the ads, but the fees were ridiculous. Ghostery solved this problem for me, but after a year or so the website have found a way to disable viewing unless ad blockers are switched off. On Sunday afternoon I contacted Ghostery to ask if anything could be done. By the time I woke up on Monday they had e.mailed back, had replicated the problem, and are working on it. Amazing response. I would also point out that I use Ghostery for free, and have never asked for any payment.

RE: GHOSTERY: This was supposed to be a FREE Ad-blocking service/company. Googled it! When I went to the site it asked for my credit card information, the ENTIRE TIME saying it was FREE!! I submitted that imformation thinking it was required for my free membership! Wouldn't you? I was immediately charged $39.99. And I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THEM: Rude 'chat' person said my money was refunded but wouldn't show up for 5 to 7 days....??? Oh, really? My bank credits are immediately applied. If this doesn't come thru I will write another review AND contact the FTC. The website that showed up on my credit card alert: CHSWFLTG.COM ** BUYER BEWARE!!!!**

They make much propaganda, extolling the virtues of their product. But if I have it on a Facebook gaming site, nothing will load. They told me they don't know what to do about it, but get this complaint, often. If they can't fix this, what good is it?

Personally I dig this app, they even update from requests. I had a site which improves its tech to know about ad blocking, i wrote to ghostery with info of the site and within days it was working blocking a very high profile, ad heavy website (wont mention the name)
