We had been trying for a year to get a pet through various rescues but the pets we wanted were always given to someone else. It was a very frustrating experience, especially after being told we were definitely approved. I found this service when I Googled “re-homing a pet.” The website is very easy to use and only showed the pets fitting the parameters we put in. We found a dog right away and after conversations with the owners, decided to set up the time to meet him. We met the owners and the dog but did not take him then. A few days later, we made arrangements to get him and paid the required fee. We took advantage of the free vet visit after the fact of adoption. That was probably the only part that we did not care for. The vet was very “disengaged” and because it is company-owned, we were quoted astronomical prices for various services we were encouraged to buy. We did get the vaccinations because the dog needed them, but left with the intention of finding a different vet altogether. All in all, though, our experience with Get Your Pet was very positive and I would use it again. I’ve also told several friends about it!

My family had a great experience with Get Your Pet! I was able to converse with Charlies previous owners and make sure he was the right match for our family and that we were right for him. We've had Charlie for a full year now and have to say that we are super happy with Charlie and so glad we found him on Get Your Pet. I tell everyone looking for a pet to look here first to keep pets out of the shelters! This is a great program 😊

Get your pet is the best online place I think there is. I tried several and this one definitely deserves a 5 * rating. They aren't in it for the money, they truly care that the pet gets a good home and they care about the owner as well. I highly recommend them!

I like this service, since an owner gets to meet the prospects and they can keep in touch, if wanted, and it gives them peace of mind that their pet, will go to a loving home, and not to a shelter, where they might live in lonelyness for a long time, and there is that possibility, they could be put down, if no one adopts. ALSO, the adoption fee is only $99. Some shelters charge $250 to $450 adoption fees.

It was so easy to find our new family member, Zeus, thru getyourpet.com. I put the criteria in for what we were looking for and the first email I received a couple days later was a perfect match, Zeus! I really like that this is a site for rehoming pets that personally owned the pet and just had a circumstance requiring them to find a new home. I went to several foster organization sites and always had a reason why their dogs could not be a part of our family.

We are very fond of our Pancake and feel lucky to have found her on Ger Your Pet. The only concern I have is really no ones fault but I would encourage anyone who explores this way of getting a dog do a lot of research about the families reason for getting rid of their pet. I realize I did not know much about territorial aggression and what it means as you adopt the dog. It has been a learning experience. In reality though Pancake is doing very well and she is very happy as our we.
