Don’t waste your money. Absolute rubbish. Misleading advertising. I joined and had a sample voice which was a deep English accent but every story was voiced in a robotic American accent. The genres that I was interested in were non existent even though it was implied there were many choices. When I complained and asked to make sure that it would not be auto renewed, they cancelled my subscription early so I have basically paid for a month but got about 7 days! Complete con artists

I cancelled my subscription but still was charged for the service. I requested a refund but still haven't received it almost 30 days later.

This is a total scam. I listened 1-2 times and decided it wasn't for me. As far as I could see it wasn't a formal app and in all honesty, wasn't even sure where to find it again. I had not been checking credit card statements carefully until a few months later when I noticed a charge for $57 CAD! Looking back, I could see it was a repeat charge for 6 months! NO renewal notice or any notifications about the charges - a sure sign of a scam. Ethical companies let you KNOW they are about to take more money! Over time they charged me $312.34... sent me a bs "customer service" email, and sidestepped the refund. I am LIVID about this very deceptive advertising. Why not send an email saying your renewal is in 3 days, and actually LET PEOPLE KNOW they are about to be charged. Oh right, you wouldn't be making money without the trickery. Shame on this business! Making a more formal complaint to the BBB.

I signed up for Whisper Stories believing I was purchasing a one-month membership. I was not aware that the subscription would continue or that I would be charged additional fees, and I did not authorize those recurring charges. When I contacted customer support, I was told that my membership had been cancelled and that I would not be charged again. However, when I requested a refund for the membership I did not authorize or use, I received no response. The support experience has been extremely frustrating, and the responses I received felt generic and unhelpful. The way the subscription is presented can be misleading, and customers should be very careful to understand exactly what they are signing up for before providing payment information. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Whisper Stories and believe the App Store should take a closer look at how this subscription is marketed and disclosed to customers.
