Love reading these stories instead of my boring life.

Despite their website and app description indicating that they use real human voices, whisper stories admitted to me in writing via email that their stories “may” use AI voices, and they cannot confirm, on their own platform mind you, that all stories are exclusively narrated by human voice actors. As soon as I started asking more pointed questions, after initially only answering some of the questions in my emails while actively ignoring others that would further prove that their platform “may be based on lies and falsehoods, they went silent. When I asked them whether the individuals pictured and identified as Aria, Marcus, Selene, Ezra and Noa are the actual performers whose voices are used on the platform, and whether the photographs displayed are photographs of those performers, they essentially said they weren’t sure and had to verify, before going completely silent. When I asked them for the source of the 4.9 rating from the 21k reviews they claim to have received on their website, they went silent. When I asked for proof/links to their features on CBS, FOX, NBC, Yahoo and Women’s Insider, as indicated on their website, they went silent. Why wouldn’t they proudly provide features from these large networks/publications unless they don’t exist. A request for a refund was denied after their three week review process. I am fairly sure that I canceled this service but whisper stories believes otherwise. The decline was backed by their apparent refund policy on their website. Perhaps they can clarify whether THAT part of their site is accurate, given that many other points on their site are either untrue or unverifiable, with the company itself either refusing to answer questions despite sending follow up emails, or being unsure themselves whether content published on their own website is true and/or accurate (for example; they’re unable or unwilling to verify whether the images posted on their website of the voice actors are authentic or are AI generated. Given that they’ve admitted in writing that they use AI generated voices, despite misleading consumers by indicating that they use “real human voice actors”, I would not be surprised to learn that the voice actor images are authentic. A Google search for each of the voice actor names listed on their website returned zero results. Why is that? Despite waiting their three week timeline for this apparent refund request review, I still had to follow up in order to be told my request was denied. It’s incredulous that a website that blatantly lies and/or misleads users. It is unacceptable. I will be escalating this further.

What made my experience good? Was the smooth process of getting logged in? And Knowing what to do.

Horrible experience, not only the ads lie and the service is not even close to what is advertised, their small print says "we may or may not warn you of upcoming renewals" then charge you without you even accessing their product and good luck requesting a refund ... how convenient. I wish payment processors could be held accountable for supporting these crimes. Avoid! P.S.: check with chat GPT, the reviews they claim are fake, the addresses provided are fake ...
