I was looking to purchase my leased vehicle at the end of my contract and started looking for options to buyout my lease. Since my vehicle was already leased through GM Financial I decided to finance again through them. The process was really easy from start to finish. The entire process was done online. I submitted all the necessary documents online and it took about 13 days from start to finish to accept and sign my loan agreement to buy out my leased vehicle. I heard a lot of horror stories recently with people trying to buy out their leased vehicles due the shortage of new cars with dealerships adding surprise fees on the buyout amount. Beware, this can happen also with some finance companies charging extra fees to get your loan on your buyout. I had absolutely no problem with Mode. There were no hidden fees or surprises and I was able to receive loan terms and rate that was agreeable to me. The Mode team are responsive with questions throughout the process by phone or chat online. I asked a lot of questions during the process and was able to get answers in a fairly reasonable amount of time via chatting with a service representative. No hassles with the dealership or unnecessary loan fees with finance companies. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

I just bought my lease roughly a month ago and on my paperwork I submitted to Mode (which I made copies) my personalized plates were suppose to be transferred. As I did not want new plates. Same plates under my lease with GM Financial were suppose to be used on the lease buyout through Mode backed by GM Financial. Today 6/15/22 I receive plates via Fedex from ALLY/GM Financial for NEW plates & stickers for my vehicle. Call GM Financial and they can't help me and tell me to talk to my DMV. I did the paperwork correctly per requested by Mode and now it becomes my problem to fix the plates they screwed up. I am not a happy customer.
