Poor performance on my macbook. Can only use raw at 720p as frame rate gets choppy once you try and use AI mode. Have switched back to internal camera as trying to use Zoom with Lumina kills my machine. Running on 6-core i7 macbook with 32G of RAM.

I was one of the early backers on Indiegogo and have to say that I have been rather disappointed. I don't have too much of a problem with the camera itself but I think they have massively underdelivered. The feature that was touted with the camera when on Indiegogo was this calibration using a color card but since I received my camera in December '21, it is still not available. I think in one of the updates that came out in December '21 or Jan '22 was that the algorithm needed some tuning and so would be disabled and would be available again in the coming weeks. It is now May '22, weeks and months later, but still no sign of it. While there are still new revisions of their app being released, any mention of this color card seems to have disappeared. The support page (do a search for color card), says: "Regarding the Color Card - we're sorry to inform you that we've temporarily disabled the color tuning feature and will be re-releasing it in a few weeks. After some debugging, we found that our correction algorithm was too sensitive, so the algorithm needs to be re-tuned by our engineers. We're still in progress with the debugging and we will announce in the future release of an update if the feature is being enabled again." While they've stated it is "temporary", they've contradicted themselves with that final sentence. Instead of saying "...when the feature is being enabled again", it states "...if the feature is being enabled again". I hope it was just a typo but it wouldn't surprise me if meant exactly what it states. Even on their main website, the only mention of the color card is that it is included in the box, not a soon to be added feature. This is pure speculation but I think what they will do in the future is state that their revamped algorithms now do not need to use the color card for calibration. If they do this, hopefully it is fact, not fiction but given my experience so far, I wouldn't hold my breath. I noticed on their website, they claim to have a review of 5 stars over 1000+ reviews and a best design award, but I have no idea where these reviews and award have come from since I wasn't able to find the source of these reviews. A couple of months ago, I received an invitation (along with other early backers I believe) to invest in the company. With so little transparency and so many claims, I hope that those who did invest will not lost their investment. I wouldn't call it a bad product. I like the design, I like the build quality. But ultimately, for the price of $200 and lacking the feature that it touted, it is not worth the money.

I regret not going for the obvious Logitech cam or sticking with Macbook's built-in camera. - Video comes out very weirdly photoshopped, the demo on the website is far from what I got - Delivery time is terrible, took a month instead of one day - Price is not great + import tax (50 EUR for me) - You need to install buggy beta software

New review: I received my Lumina Webcam finally, and set it up. The packaging is very good, and the setup is truly simple, especially if not using the Lumina software. And right now, it's not really possible to use the Lumina software, as you can see at setup.getlumina.com -- therefore, this product is not ready for sale to customers. Hooking the Lumina Webcam to my Windows computer with the supplied USB-C cable, I found that Windows did recognize the device, which appears in the Device Manager as "Lumina Camera - RAW." I opened Zoom, and found that it also recognized "Lumina Camera - RAW," so I tested the audio... that worked. Then I tested the video...that does not work. So, I started a Zoom meeting, and found that for the first time (and every time the Lumina is attached), Zoom gives an error message that the "speaker is not working." I was able to clear that error, but it comes back every time Lumina is attached and a Zoom meeting is joined. I was able to verify that audio worked and video did not work. So, I did troubleshooting: different cables, different ports, installed and again uninstalled the Beta Lumina software, downloaded and installed OBS Studio to try Lumina in that application, etcetera. Completely consistent situation: audio functions; video fails. Unfortunately, it appears that Lumina has NO real-time support; neither by phone nor chat. So I initiated an email support request. It appears that the support engineers are on the other side of the planet, so it may take days to have a few elements to a conversation via email, given the time zone differences. In summary: The hardware does not function, the software is not ready for release, and the company is not prepared to support the product. I bumped the rating up to 2 stars, as I remain somehow hopeful that Lumina can eventually produce the product they have been promoting, and if so, that it will be good. Right now, no one should do business with Lumina yet; the company is simply NOT prepared to do business with customers yet. And Lumina owes me a working webcam or money, which they will provide; I'll certainly let others know if they fail to do what they must.

I purchased and have been waiting to get Lumina since May/June timeframe. The company keeps delaying the shipment and provided inaccurate shipment date/information.

Just Got the product after 4 month. Looks good appearance. But need serius effort and tricky ways to install the software, since tons of bugs and problem in compatibility to my operating System.
