Here's how FurLife collars work: Repellency: The natural oils in the collar repel ticks and fleas, making them less likely to jump on your dog. Killing Power: If a tick or flea does latch on, the collar should kill it within hours or days. It's possible the tick you found was already on your dog before the collar had a chance to work. We completely understand your concerns about using prescription medications like Bravecto. However, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian about the best approach for tick prevention in your area, especially considering your location and the prevalence of ticks. In the meantime, we're happy to hear you're giving FurLife a chance, and we hope the tick repellent boxes provide additional protection. Regular brushing and checking your dogs after walks is always a good practice, along with using a flea and tick collar. We hope this clarifies how FurLife collars work.
