I've been taking Contrave for about a month now and I haven't yet noticed any weight loss. I did notice right away that I wasn't emotionally eating, stress eating, or bored eating.

I have been taking contrave for 3 months and have lost 46 pounds. It has definitely helped me get healthy. The downfall would be a few of the side affects. Major headaches during the first month. Also ongoing issue with constipation. Have had no nausea as some complain of.

I’ve been taking Contrave for 4 weeks. The antidepressant it contains has improved my mood drastically. I’m down 17 pounds and I feel great. The Contrave does cause my mouth to be dry, but that helps with drinking water throughout the day. I’ve eliminated carbonated beverages and have limited my calorie intake to 1200 calories a day. I find myself craving more fruit and veggies, and occasionally notice I haven’t eaten my allotted calories for the day. Since taking Contrave I have more energy, enabling me to be more active with my 3 year old son. The price is a little expensive as my insurance doesn’t cover it, but I feel there is no price too high if it’s resulting in weight loss, mood improvement and more energy.

Contrave has really helped me. I struggled with weight loss for a long time. The positives, I have lost about twenty pounds in two momths and feel better than ever. So much so that I actually started working out at a gym so that I can see faster results. Really craves your hunger. The cons, I had extreme stomach muscle spasms for the first three days and continue to get minor spasms every now and again. I would not recommend this for anyone with an anxiety disorder or anyone that is not extremely strong willed. I am super strong willed and normally a very happy and optimistic person however the first four days was absolutely depressing. Luckily I understood that the feelings had to do with the pills so knew that it would be temporary. I can tell you that I almost called it quits after the first two days. I am certainly glad that I kept with it because the depressing mood went away after the third day.

Side effects were a bit rough at the onset. I was nauseous quite often and it took me a bit longer than indicated to titrate up to the therapeutic dose. Also, it took awhile to get used to taking four decent sized pills/day. Six months later, I am incredibly pleased with the results. I have lost 40 pounds, slow and very steady. I feel great. An added benefit is that I am drinking less alcohol (one of the active ingredients is naltrexone). I hope I can stay on Contrave indefinitely. My best advice is increase doses even slower than recommended. I think it will ensure long-term success as you will be less likely to stop due to side effect. I would give five stars, but every now and then I get slightly nauseous.
