Gerber-Tools.comReviews of gerber-tools.com

This is not a quality company to deal with! You cannot get in touch with anyone at this company. I placed an order the beginning of december and although I did receive an order confirmation, I have not heard anything beyond the confirmation. They do not answer their phone and refer you to a website that I am not sure is a valid site to even access. NEVER will I order from them again!

I ordered a multi tool with engraving on the knife and embroidery on the sheath. The website indicated that I would be sent to another screen to choose my fonts and colors. (I listed my messages in the special requests box for what I thought would be redundancy) Once I paid, that was it. No choices page. So I emailed right away..... crickets. 3 days later I receive an e-mail "your order has shipped" I e-mail again, WHAT? HOW? You don't know what I wanted! This time I get a response "oh well this is the first we've heard and its custom so no returns. Hope you like it." Soooo, I get it and the knife looks good, but the embroidery is VERY CROOKED! I send a 3rd e-mail, Sorry, they say, this is the best they could do... it's custom and will not be replaced. Long story short, the "professionals" chose the font, size and color but couldn't make it straight and I'm stuck with an embarrassing birthday gift. I wish I could post the photo here that I sent them. In my opinion they are not worthy to represent the Gerber name and I told the parent company so.

Gerber Obsidian is a great pocket knife. Very solid tool. Has basic screwdrivers, file that most really need besides a great solid construction. That said, I sent two or three e-mails requesting knife be sent by USPS instead of United Parcel Service. Shipping was half the price. Postal service better service in my rural area. Called company customer service number. Two point Enterprises never got back to me. Feel ignored. Seemed like they got my money, delivered their product the way they wanted regardless of my wishes...case closed. Most of my issues with Northeast Missouri UPS service. Overpriced. Box was opened when it arrived. Knife loose in the package. Pouch was well sealed. Knife undamaged. Don't know if there was supposed to be a belt holder of any kind. Better to do business with Amazon.com or outside marketer. Two Point Enterprise web site defaulted back to UPS when I clicked USPS for shipping. Would not go back without shutting off web browser. Bottom line is five star rating on product. One star or less if an option for Two Point customer service.
