Sites such as 23and Me have extremely limited DNA data. They only look at a tiny fraction of our/your DNA. Our DNA contains 6 billion SNP's (single nucleotide polymorphisms). These DNA testing sites only look at .01% of our DNA. The remaining 99.99% is ignored as if that DNA doesn't matter. Plus, the science isn't developed for knowing what to provide optimum needs. For example, I have a genetic condition that 23 and Me doesn't even test for that causes kidney disease. How can they give me diet advice based on my DNA? Obviously, they can't. Also, their recommendations are based on their flawed dietary assumptions. Most dieticians are indoctrinated in anti-meat, anti-fat, pro-plant brainwashing. Meat isn't bad. Saturated fat isn't bad. Cholesterol isn't bad. Many eating carnivore to avoid allergies are quite healthy. Much of what dieticians preach is based on flawed understanding. Dr. Eric Westman of Duke University Keto Lab is a good resource. This may work someday, but that's a long way away.

Do not order the recipes. They ignored my foods to avoid, they included canned foods in the ingredients, their breakfast item was scrambled eggs with green onion and a few herbs -- really, for 5$, or for another 5$ a recipe for fruit and yogurt with gluten free oats. 1: oats are already gluten free; 2: my data says I don't have to worry about gluten. Additionally, there is not even the general nutrition data that Costco provides. I was interested in the food selection based on my DNA, but having bought their recipes I have very little faith at all in this company and would advise people to avoid them.

It might be better for you to just flush your money down the toilet. What I got was certainly not what I expected. It didn’t tell me anything that I didn’t already know. I already know that I’m not lactose, intolerant or gluten intolerant. I already know what vitamins are tend to be deficient in. It was pseudoscience at best. Ridiculously overpriced, and nothing for the value at all. * note the response I received from the company. My response would be “refund of the fee“. But of course they didn’t provide any way to contact them.

This company is a scam. You pay the money to get your report and then you never get your report. You reach out to them via phone but after multiple attempts there is never an answer. Only Voice Mail. So then you send four emails over the course of two weeks and no reply. I want my money back. What a waste of time.

Hello Terra, We apologize for the frustrations you've faced. It's not the experience we want anyone to have. Your report should have been delivered and we should've been there to answer your queries. If your issues have not been resolved, please reach out to us at [email protected] and our team will be happy to assist. We value your trust and patience. Best, The GenoPalate Team

It is the worst information. Says I should eat something my stomach does not agree with at all. Overall there is very little information given. Total nonsense. A horrorscope is more accurate. Save your money!!!

Hi John, Thank you for providing us with this feedback. We want to assure you that all of our nutrition recommendations are derived from evidence-based research from high-impact clinical trials and population studies that directly link positive health outcomes with nutritional genomics. This research shows that variants in your genes influence how well you metabolize and absorb certain nutrients and what nutrition leads to these positive health outcomes for your genotype. Please email us at [email protected] with any specific questions you may still have. Sincerely, The GenoPalate® Team

I decided to try this thinking this was linked to 23andme. Later found it was not and notified 23andme to not release my DNA information. I paid over $52 and got nothing in return. I am requesting a refund due to this. I think this is a scam just to get your DNA and your money. Somebody needs to do a good investigation of them as they are now getting everybody's DNA which should not be released to anyone. I am going to contact the investigative reporters and get them exposed. I was relieved when I got in touch with 23andme and they assured me that my DNA would not be released.

I got my DNA test from a third-party. For $40 GenoPalate offers to analyze third-party results and provide new insights on dietary recommendations. I paid and then got instructions to download third-party data and send it to them, which I was not expecting. I couldn't download the data from the third-party and asked GenoPalate for a refund; I never heard from them again. The credit card company is disputing the charges. I got an email from trust pilot quote "genopalate.com has flagged your review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience. To keep your review online, we need to ask for your help" unquote I got my money reimbursed, but the experience was genuine. The paperwork asked to support my claim was sent to the credit card company. Please consult them
