i put a 3/4" drive socket set together and ordered them, i've been on the fence if i could find a "light weight" 3/4 gun and utilize it specifically for passenger car and light truck wheels. i found the gun and it's manageable enough without needing 2 hands to heft the thing, and came here for the sockets. i got the industrial finish standards : 17mm 19mm 21mm 22mm 24mm they are all very thick wall and the nose hasnt been an issue yet with standard wheel rim lug bores. i think ive found a perfect solution for over torqued truck lugs and since this is all these tools will be designated for, im pretty sure theyre going to have a long and purposeful life. i wouldnt recommend them for installations or for torque sticks, and since they are so beefy, i wont take the chance in any thin wall lug socket applications. im very happy with them, and if 3/4" drive was more popular, i would request Genius to maybe put together a more specific wheel service socket set. im not seeing a very receptive customer base though. im in the automotive industry and i have yet to see anyone else going in this direction. if you service wheels daily and you encounter light and medium duty trucks, i definitely recommend getting your hands on a stubby 3/4 gun and sockets specific to your needs, as if youre like me, you service whatever comes through the door and you dont want to destroy your 1/2" drive tools on repetitive wheel lugs that require so many removals throughout their service life. on a side note : a 14mm 3/4" drive socket would be the perfect complement as it would cover the little guys too and would remove the 1/2" drive gun from any wheel removal process.... good luck finding one a those though ^.^
