Waste of time. They make u do some assessment which u just need to follow instructions... then some traffic light... which u just follow instructions. The recruiter Mitchel is charming at first, but then become really super irritating, like ppl got full time work and busy with work... then every other day and week keep calling and calling and calling non-stop to reschedule and keep chasing ppl on the assessment... So irritating... when ppl reschedule then some negative comment like "bla bla... u got issue managing your time", like urmm ya obviously i am very busy and i also got other jobs to do and a lot of other things im busy with ... Whats yr motivation to join ah??? So stop it and forget it la. Dont join then dont join la. Keep calling and calling every other day and week, rush ppl to reschedule the appt, this assessment?? Then when ppl get the assessment done .... the checkmark all complete then lecture ppl in a patronising tone... "oh when did u complete this???" "do u think the colour is correct how traffic light works? do u think is complete?? do u want to redo?" like no..?? errrr like i literally dont care. i just indicate interest just to get lectured and berated by u??? literally who cares what colour u want your traffic light to be lol ?? u want what colour u make whatever colour u want lor - literally no one cares?? Save your money and dont waste $4k, time and energy to enroll here and learn this kind of irrelevant pointless stuff.... and get lectured by a jerk. Bye then bye lols, u are not the only one on planet earth. More like u and yr company need our money.

Totally got ripped off by Caroline and Stephanie. General Assembly is dead or has been dead… it’s all online… paid $3000, got refunded $2900 back. Scam!

I signed up and completed the course at General Assembly for Project manager. It was a complete rip off and time wasted. 4K dollars down the drain. I would NOT recommend this course to anyone or even the company because you do not get a job offer or even help from the instructor after completing the course! Save your money and choose a real place that will help you further your career.

I booked 2x workshops at $350 each. I have multiple times requested a full invoice with VAT, both via email and phone. Due to no response, I have requested the cancellation as per GA's cancellation policy. It's been 10 business days and I still have not heard back. GA owes me $700 and yet I am unable to reach them. This lack of enthusiasm and engagement is not only disappointing but also detrimental to the learning experience. The program's purported value lies in its career placement support. However, this too is largely overhyped. The career advice provided is generic at best, lacking the personalized touch and insight one would expect from a program of this stature. As for career placement, it's more a facade than a reality. The job opportunities they forward are nothing more than formalities. A recruiter, in a moment of candor, even admitted to me that their hiring decisions were pre-made, and their engagement with General Assembly was merely to maintain the relationship with General Assembly. A particularly concerning aspect I discovered mid-program was the manipulation of employment statistics. General Assembly combines the employment results of their Data Analytics and Data Science Immersives to present a rosier picture of job placement success. This blending of statistics is not only misleading but also misrepresents the true outcomes for Data Science students specifically. Many graduates, including myself, found that the majority of job placements were in data analytics roles, which require a different skill set than what is taught in the Data Science Immersive. The marketing tactics employed by General Assembly are deceptive, painting an unrealistic picture of the program's outcomes. As someone who has gone through the program, my advice to potential students is straightforward: save your money and time. There are myriad resources and pathways to enter the field of data science that are more cost-effective and genuinely supportive of your career aspirations. General Assembly's Data Science Immersive, unfortunately, is not one of them.

However, the disparity between their assurances and the actual job placement process left me feeling misled and dissatisfied with the overall experience. Clear communication and realistic expectations are essential when making decisions about educational investments, and unfortunately, the initial commitment to guaranteeing a job did not align with the outcome.

I enrolled in General Assembly's Software Engineering Bootcamp hoping to transfer into a software engineering role. The boast a 90 some percent employment rate and I can tell you that definitely is not true. The curriculum is really web development not software engineering and was nothing you couldn't teach yourself. The career services are basically non-existent and has me questioning why did I even waste my money.

It’s not the fault of the company but I entered the job market at the same time as many people who had industry experience. (massive tech layoffs last year this time). Outcomes wasn’t prepared to help in the ways they needed too, as they advertised they could.
