Missed so many prescriptions and delayed. So many procedures in an effort, to deny valid insurance and physicians' recommendations. Manage by united healthcare. I am saddened by the killing of the ceo. That poor man lost much of his life and now has to spend eternity in hell.

I have had GEHA insurance for almost 25 years and have only recently retired with a major health problem. Claims for my wife and I date back to December of 2024. Each time we call customer service, they apologize for the errors and promise to resubmit but say it will take 60 days to reprocess. We wait two months and the cycle repeats. Meanwhile, we dig money out of our Social Security check to avoid collect agencies (on top of the expensive premiums). The claims are covered under the policy, but GEHA says they are waiting for Medicare to pay since we are over 65. Medicare is not a requirement for the plan and we do not have Medicare. Horrible experience with this company

Failure to file appropriate paperwork for silverscript changeover with Medicare. I am on third inhaler as they keep changing which one is authorized

As with other complaints, something has changed and GEHA went from decent to TERRIBLE. The customer service people know nothing -- they can't do anything more than you can do yourself on the website/portal. But, as others are saying, it's the claims processing that is the biggest joke. I have the same appointment every week and it's processed at different rates! In addition the dr is in network but processed as out of network. I send every claim back for reprocessing and nothing changes or (as happened with one) they reduce what they'll cover! You just beat your head against a wall with this company and they don't care. You have to pay your doctor's office in the end or go to collections.

The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because they do have options that many other dental plans don’t. The reason they should get one or zero stars is that it takes forever for claims to be processed and paid. Right now, May 20 25, it takes them one to two months to upload claims into their system. Then it takes 30 to 45 days to pay. And that’s if you’re lucky. If I knew that, it was going to take four months to be reimbursed for dental, I would’ve gone with someone else. I still might just change at the next open enrollment

I've had this insurance for close to 20 years if not longer. Since it's consolidation with UnitedHealthcare I can only say that the services have reduced drastically. I have never had a prescription require more verification especially since I've been taking it for 2 or 3 years. Communication is difficult, the web pages are extremely complicated now and go around in circles.

I've had this insurance for quite a few years, over 10. It seems it has been overhauled several times, and now, if you are wanting to have a baby, you are in luck!! Everything is covered! No charge. But, if you are retired, they are trying to get you to go with this new Medicare RX, Silver Script. It's been a nightmare to get it straightened out. We didn't go with Medicare, and I don't want Medicare. Our insurance rates are so high now, as a retiree, it's scary that we may not be able to afford medical in the future.

GEHA and my medical provider have parted ways. I received no word from GEHA that I should be looking a new provider. The provider sent a letter telling me that GEHA will no linger be paying my treatments and they will be out of pocket billed to me. For my wife that is $16,000 per Oncology treatment. Now I am scrambling to find a new doctor in-plan to continue the treatments.
