Not sure these are true car guys, they’re kind of similar to regular old car salesman that only worry about the sale. Beware, don’t buy sight unseen. They don’t disclose the problems a vehicle has. I would think that a true classic car lot would take a little more pride in not selling classics with issues, either fix them or don’t consign the . The truck I bought has oil leaks, manifold leak, electrical was screwed up (have that problem fixed now). Most car guys at least on a private sale are upfront with their buyers. Take a little pride in what you sell.

First thing they ask is how much do you want for your car. You would expect that they would take a couple thousand profit from selling the car but they get GREEDY and jack up the price by $11k. There was no way it would sell and it didn't. I took my car back after about 4 months. When I picked up my car and drove it home, I noticed that the license plate was not there. I was assured that it was in the trunk. It was not. Now they wont even call me back.

I contacted Gateway about a car they had advertised that I wanted to buy my wife as a birthday present. After calling and calling the salesman over a three week period, I finally talked to another salesman, and after a few days of going back and forth on the price, I purchased the car. I was told what to expect after my bid was accepted, but that’s the last instruction I ever got. I had to call a couple times about the title, and finally was told it “was in the mail”. I made arrangements to have the car shipped, and the salesman told me to give him 24 hours notice and they would charge the battery, put air in the tires, etc. I also asked for pictures of the car being loaded. When the driver arrived the car was not ready. It wouldn’t start and had to be winched onto the flatbed. Never did get one picture. Other things happen, but this is a review, not a novel. The only good thing that happen was my communications with Morissa. She was polite, always delivered on what she said she was going to do.

A 90 day contract turned into 110 days because they dont tell you they only start their contracts on the 1st and 15th of the month, doesnt really matter when you sign the contract. This information was not told to me when I dropped off the car on Oct 5. I ran into a financial hardship having the car there that long and was planning to pick up on 1/05, which was 90 days, only to be told I could not! They would not bend the rules for 10 days and of course they did not sell it in that last 10 days either. I finally was able to pick it up Jan 15. Read everything before signing. They did not sell my car in 110 days because they want too much money. Priced way above market. I kept coming down on what I would take, but when they want to take 20 plus percent, makes it difficult to sell. And to rub salt in the wound, I just checked their website after picking up my car and my car is still listed for 4000 less, which is where it should’ve been all along. I emailed and asked why my car was still there and they said that is their policy until it sells. Huh? They don’t have the car. I do. Are they trying to make their website look better?

Just spent a lot of money on a camaro - got it delivered and several aspects of the car were not divulged even when asked specifically. Driver's side window fails to roll up, turn signals do not work, and emergency brake does not work. Serves me right for not being able to touch the vehicle prior to purchase. I even had a mechanic lined up to evaluate the car, but taking the salesperson's advice that there are no problems with the car and that the mechanic I was going to have look at it had already looked at it and said it was great. Don't take the word of the sales persons - get someone to evaluate it before purchasing.

I gave them a 2 for a couple of reason. I myself give me a 2. I bought car from looking at video and did not go to see or drive vehicle. It would of been nice if sales person had told me more about vehicle and some of the problems with car. I will never buy a vehicle without getting in drivers seat for a test drive. I know your in the business to sell cars but honesty would of been nice to hear. JKRUM

Communication was poor. I was vexed that they would not tell me what my vehicle actually sold for. Not allowing me that information (the market value for that vehicle) has kept me from selling another vehicle with Gateway. The staff that signed me up was good and communicative. But when the car was sold, he was gone and the staff was not as professional as I expected. David A. Zahrt

Would not use again. Car was there over 6 months. Reduced price several times. Car had battery charger built in and they never kept it charged. Finally sold car at reduced price from what they thought it was worth and had to pay for a new battery at time of sale. Have sold two other cars since (not there) with no problems. Very poor operation,
