GasBuddyReviews of gasbuddy.com

ticket number: 1935088 Has gone unanswered for weeks. They refuse to give me missing discount. I arrived to a gas station for flash sale savings in 5 minutes after activation of that said flash deal. Used my gas buddy card to pay and did not get my savings. I contacted GasBuddy and they refuse to respond. Horrible experience

Pros: Gas prices tend to be updated frequently in my area compared to Fuelio but similar to Upside. So intend to look at Gas Buddy and Upside to choose a gas station but then record gas/mileage in Fuelio. Cons: it's infrequent that the transaction gets posted to my account even when claiming the offer and submitting the receipt. I am able to submit most receipts but but the merchant isn't often recognized unless the logo is on the receipt. Similar to Fetch but takes a long time to earn points. Perhaps some of the quests and surveys and games will help points accrue faster but it is a lot of effort for little benefit. Fuelio has much better fuel tracking and stats than Gasbuddy but just doesn't have the users that I wish it had.

It used to be good. Now, 90% of my transactions are not counted, and the ones that are, are often only a few cents per gallon. It's not worth the time it takes to scan the receipt. And, snaps, those are worthless! It took me a month to earn 300 points. Do you know what that equals? 30 CENTS!!! I buy gas 2-3 times a week, averaging 8-16 gallons. I earned only $1 last month. I used to get $1-$2 per fill up!

Prices are not updated frequently enough to be useful. Also find certain users are not reporting the correct price consistently. Absolutely useless anymore

They need to do a better job of weeding out people that give inaccurate prices. There are lots of stations that i try to go to thinking it is the lowest price, only to get there and find out Gas Buddy is reporting the wrong price.

Eh... As unreliable as people can be, I'm tepid on this app. It often proves to be inaccurate on any given gas station's prices. If people won't report, then what good is this app?

This community-driven app is only as good as it's subscribers want it to be! Instead of posting the advertised sign price on the pump, they're posting a price that includes rewards they're getting with their gas credit card.

Yeah, every time I go to the site and then go to the gas station. There are 45 cents at least 45 cents higher than any of them. What you say they are, so you're false advertising for these companies. You ought to be taken off the website. Never put back on very dissatisfied, wouldn't trust you again if my life depended on it.
