Horrible credit card
Horrible credit card. Account was closed for no other reason than I carried a zero balance for months. Had the card for a year and it was closed out. Never missed a payment, and was never late paying. All bad experience.

Closed Account For No Reason?
Light usage, $200 - $1000 per month, mostly utilities and insurance premiums, where the 2% rebate was the best option.
Account was paid in full every month, 818 FICO Score. (No online gambling).
If you aren't a degenerate gambler who carries a balance, they will close your card without warning. I did use the card every month, so it was not closed for inactivity. Interesting business model, just gamblers?
They did credit me the earned points, which were only $3.78, I had just cashed out almost $300 last month, glad I did as many people have been screwed on points and the sign-up bonus. If your card is still active, cash your points every month.
It was clear at sign up they are looking for degenerates, probably a good thing to be done with them. My Fidelity Visa through US Bank/Elan and Bread AMEX both pay 2% flat.
GBank su(ks so no loss.

Random Credit Card Closure (Account in good standing)
I just wanted to say - thanks for closing my credit card account, without warning, I had an 8k limit all on-time payments, consistent use of the card for online shopping, paid my statements in full. Just for your institution to close my card without warning due to a bogus "review" my credit score is in the mid 700s, I have plenty of financial assets, no derogatory marks on my credit, never a single late payment ever. Shame on GBank for doing this to a good client, when I'm sure you guys don't mind the ones that pay hundreds in interest fees. What. A. Shame.

Joke of a Credit Card
Update for this poor excuse for a credit card issuer: GOOD NEWS! On 9/25/26, I received an email from GBank, cancelling my credit card. I've held a zero balance for 10 months because of their incompetence (see the many other bad reviews). They didn't give an explanation for closure, but I didn't need one. Good riddance, bad rubbish. They didn't hurt my credit score since I have other cards with a debt ratio below 1%. I happily cut the card into tiny little pieces, and praised the Lord.

Worst bank/credit card experience of my lifetime.

The irony of GBank posting on Facebook about teaching senior citizens how to protect themselves from fraud is hard to miss. Perhaps at their next “Fraud Bingo” event, they should include a square warning people about GBank’s own Visa card.
GBank abruptly closed my account, citing “potential fraud,” without ever contacting me beforehand to ask about a transaction, verify my identity, or give me an opportunity to address whatever supposedly concerned them. I did not even receive the Adverse Action Notice explaining the alleged concern until after the account had already been closed.
The result? GBank also forfeited $424.82 in rewards that I had legitimately earned.
Making matters worse, trying to get answers from GBank has been an exercise in frustration. Phone calls go unanswered, voicemails are not returned, and emails receive no response. For a financial institution that publicly promotes fraud awareness and consumer protection, that level of communication is especially concerning.
Think about that while reading their Facebook post about educating consumers on scams and fraud: a bank closes a customer’s account over unspecified “potential fraud,” provides no meaningful opportunity to resolve the supposed issue, keeps hundreds of dollars in earned rewards, and then seemingly makes itself unavailable when the customer tries to get an explanation.
I fully understand that banks have an obligation to monitor accounts for fraud and suspicious activity. What I don't accept is using a vague fraud concern as justification for closing an account without meaningful communication and then confiscating earned rewards in the process.
So, since GBank is publicly encouraging consumers to maintain “a healthy dose of skepticism,” I would suggest consumers apply that same skepticism when considering GBank and its Visa card.
Based on my experience, I would never do business with GBank again under any circumstances.

Absolutely ridiculous experience
Absolutely ridiculous experience. GBank instantly approved me for a $10,000 credit line. I submitted every document they requested, completed all of their verification steps, and everything appeared to be moving forward. Then, out of nowhere, I received an email the very next day saying my account had been closed. No phone call. No explanation. Nothing.
To make things even worse, they already collected all of my personal and financial information, ran a hard inquiry on my credit, and then shut everything down without giving me a reason. That’s completely unacceptable.
I tried calling customer service multiple times during their posted business hours. Their recording says they’re open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. I called around 11:30 AM and again around 2:00 PM, and all I got was the same automated message. How does a bank have no one available during its own business hours?
This entire experience was a complete waste of my time. They impacted my credit, collected my sensitive information, and left me with zero answers. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can’t imagine trusting them with my money. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
My recommendation for this company is to change their name to Mickey Mouse Club House Bank! Since that’s how to operate and handle business.

I honestly don't write reviews very often, but GBank absolutely deserves one.
I especially want to recognize Teri from the approval department. Teri went out of their way to help me solve a problem I was having with getting approved. Who does that anymore? Seriously, it was unbelievable how much they were willing to help. They took the time to look into my situation, kept me updated, and genuinely cared about finding a solution.
When I found out I was approved, I couldn't believe it! That level of customer service is incredibly rare these days, and it meant so much to me.
The entire experience with GBank was outstanding. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional, but Teri's willingness to go the extra mile really stood out. It's refreshing to work with a company that has people who truly care about their customers.
Thank you again, Teri, for going above and beyond. You've earned a customer for life, and I won't hesitate to recommend GBank to anyone looking for a bank with exceptional customer service.
