Incredible platform and management team. Customer service is responsive and knowledgable as well. I especially like the fact that they stress test their portfolio, and also appreciate the results of their analysis (solid portfolio). My only concern is that it would appear that a lot of their investors don't seem to understand that Fundrise is designed for the longterm investor. This group seems to complain loudly when their money isn't redeemed immediately. My concern isn't about their holdings or management team, but more in regards to their business model (bringing commercial investments to the masses). While I love the vision and appreciate their thoughtfulness to include the "little guy" (which includes me) I do have concern about their willingness to continue to move forward if their customer base complains to loudly in periods where they halt redemptions. Ironically, the reason I was drawn to them in the first place was due to the fact that they are willing to halt the redemptions at critical times -which keeps their portfolio from unraveling during turbulent times. I'm fairly analytical and try to see potential downsides to any investment. The customer base seems to be the biggest risk in my opinion, which is not to say that commercial real-estate doesn't have it's own risks. I'm truly impressed with the company however -and wish them tremendous success! (clients too, me included)

Fundrise is a good tool for long-term investment strategies. I’m a core investor. I feel that their accountability is high, if a little over-marketed and their app/website falls just short of my expectations. In the case of attempting to withdraw monies during the corona pandemic, Fundrise is protecting ALL of their inventors by enforcing their contracted right to deny a withdrawal request. Refer to the 1929-1939 Great Depression for an understanding of what would happen to this company if they agreed to fund every withdrawal request during this time. Fundrise is very communicative, providing frequent updates about new and completed projects. Their support team responds readily and usually provide quality responses. Fundrise did/does advertise 12% average gains and I’ve seen 8% so far. Though I’m only in my second year, so I shouldn’t expect those gains until year five. Their website is easy enough to navigate though there are some pitfalls and areas where the interface is misleading.

They claim 8-10% yearly returns. I've been with them 1 year and made 2% in dividends. Every project update I get says the investment is returning ~10% but someone else must be keeping that. Won't even try to get my $$ back now cause I know I won't happen. Will ride this scam out for a bit longer then take legal action.

I am pretty tired of these complaints about liquidity and people not getting their money back. When I signed up for Fundrise three years ago, I remember several times specifically where they stated that this investment is in private illiquid real estate. This is not a savings account, a publicly traded REIT, or anything else that you can just sell and get your money back. This is a private equity investment and anyone who invested should have taken time to carefully consider the amount of money they were putting in this. I really enjoy the Fundrise platform and I have been impressed by the level of communication from the entire Fundrise team. The website and app are wonderful and extremely user friendly, and the customer service is strong. I plan to hold my money with them indefinitely and one day turn off dividend reinvestment in order to receive the cash flow. The only negative that I have is that I wish they provided more details on every investment. They will show all the projects I am invested in, but typically they only highlight certain ones and many don’t have much in terms of the plan and why they invested. However, I still believe this company is far more transparent and honest about the returns and what they are planning to do in the future than most that I have come across.

UPDATING MY REVIEW: I have completed 5 years with Fundrise, the funds seem to be going nowhere. I have actually lost about 2K probably due to market conditions. My dividents were coming in every quarter and they were measly $200. I had 50K all together and recently decided to liquidate and redeem my investment. They take about 3 months to approve and with all said and done I have barely made 5% returns. What got me to sign up with them in the first place is the hype about the high returns. Fundrise was claiming ROI of 11% - 18% that is what sold me to invest with them. I waited 5 yrs, locked up my money with them where they were able to use it and buy properties, they will reap the appreciation and all I got was 5% which I could have done by putting my money in a CD. Not worth it, I do not recommend them anymore specially that the Real Estate market has seen its highs for a while. I write this updated review April 15, 2023. Initial reviews on July 8, 2020 Super happy with Fundrise, been with them for 3 years, I see my money growing every day. I get detailed reports as to where they are investing along with pictures and further information with graphs and charts. Fundrise is one of the best investment decisions I've made.

Hidden and abnormal fees happen all the time. Returns are worst than keeping $ in bonds You're not able to withdraw your $ whenever you want.

Stay away from Fundrise. I was with them for almost 3 years and they only made less than 3% per year in the last 3 years, which is a very poor investment. When I requested to withdraw, I was told that the total redemption is only 63% of the value shown in my account. I can't believe my money is stolen like this. Be careful with this scam, stay away from them.

STAY AWAY FROM FUNDRISE. THEY HOLD YOUR MONEY HOSTAGE. During the COVID crisis, they have refused to allow any redemptions and continue to stick to their guns on it 4 months in. People rely on these monies to get them through times of crises and unprecedented hardship.
