STAY AWAY!
Either Fundrise aren't very good at investing or the scheme is fraudulent. By my estimation, if I were to wait the full five years, there would be nothing left of my investment. I was taken in by the many great reviews on YouTube. I also don't trust the 5-star reviews on Trustpilot. Read them. Most don't describe a personal experience or contain any real detail or data. They're mostly, "Fundrise is a great platform for people with no experience who want to invest in real estate...", etc. Compare them to the negative reviews, many of which detail an experience with dollar amounts and percentage losses. The fake reviewers sometimes don't seem to understand the product, which usually indicates that they were paid for a positive review. Review farms are a thing. Even the honest reviewers that have gained money speak about a roughly 2% gain. I'm down nearly 7% after 7 months. There are 60 months in five years. Do the math. It's all compound losses all the way. I've asked for a redemption. It's early February and their fuzzy email says I might get something back by April. Fundrise seems to be a get-rich scheme, but NOT for the investors. Fundrise is worthless. A good dividend stock is a better (and liquid) bet.
