Can’t say enough good things about our guide Matt & the entire experience of FSGuides. Totally 5 stars! From the original call to the pre meeting everything was like clockwork & as promised. Learned so much about the Canyon & everyone in our group had an awesome time. Phantom Ranch didn’t disappoint & Matt ensured I had a vegetarian dinner option each night. Plenty to snack on & eat during hikes. I highly recommend Four Season Guides & interested in other trips in the future.

We hiked the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim in August 2019. The trip exceeded our expectations in every way except one: We expected to be hot and miserable (it was 112F in the shade), and instead we were comfortable and had a blast! Our guide, Matt, was incredibly knowledgeable. He knew how to time everything such that we hiked in the shade most of the way. He also knew the best places to cool off in a creek or play in a waterfall. It was great at the end of the day to have somebody else set up camp and cook us a delicious meal, allowing us to soak up the grandeur of the Canyon. Even the advice on preparing for the trip (spoiler alert – it involves training) was spot on and made for an incredibly enjoyable, fulfilling experience. I would definitely recommend Four Season Guides, and specifically Matt. In fact, we are hoping to use them again on another trip soon!

Best of Canyon Country with Four Season Guides My husband and I are retirees who enjoy hiking and exploring the Southwestern United States. We have been on three separate excursions with Four Season Guides and each trip has been incredible. Their professional guides have led us to the bottom of the Grand Canyon last spring, into the amazing back country of Canyonlands National Park last fall, and most recently we explored the best of Canyonlands (Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Escalante). The five-day backpacking tour was thoughtfully planned so that we could experience several of Utah’s most popular hiking destinations, and enjoy breathtaking scenery while experiencing a variety of hiking environments. The crucial aspect of our successful journey was Scott, our awesome guide. Not only did he know the trail’s like the back of his hand; he also knew every detail about the flora and fauna that we encountered, and was quick to share his knowledge with us. The food at the camp site and along the trail was filling and delicious, thanks to Scott’s culinary skills. We are already planning our next trip with Four Season Guides and recommend them to anyone wanting a wonderful hiking adventure. Date of experience: June 2019
