Concerns put to rest after speaking with the president of Freemypaws. THANK YOU.
I have a letter from my doctor for a service dog. Presently my dog helps me with many things but needs further training.(Socializing with other dogs). I was told by different organizations that I had to get my dog formally trained by them for it to be legal and the vest and tags I purchased meant nothing. Thanks to the president of Freemypaws for his explanation of the ADA and his company I understand much more. I no longer wish to return my product. I am going to continue with my dog's training and hopefully she will be wearing her vest in the near future.

Sadly, this is a common misconception. The laws (which are outlined on our website and can be found on the Department of Justice website) protecting you and your animal contain definitions - if you match their criteria you can then qualify for protection and access under the laws. Many sites claim to “register” or “certify” Service or Emotional Support Animals; but NO company, charity or organization can legally do this and so they carry no legal weight. You either qualify to have a Service or Emotional Support Animal or you don’t. Free My Paws doesn't make these claims - we do not provide fake registrations; we simply provide products intended to be used by qualified individuals to clearly identify their animal so the outside world can see that you aren’t accompanied by a pet but by a bona fide working animal.
