I really like the FPR feeds/nibs they are a great value but it seems there is marginal variations in the sizings of these products. It's not much, a decimal point or two here or there but unfortunately it's enough to sometimes make some combinations of feeds and nibs not fit snugly in the section of the pens that these are designed to fit in. Aside from that getting a better flex experience out of the box really isn't possible without these nibs and feeds, especially for this price point. If the tolerances could be a little more controlled it would be perfect. I was able to use 3 of the 5 feeds I recently purchased, the others fit but were too loose. This either provided a flow that was way way too wet or simply caused the feed to shift over time with the need to be straightened again and again. The others fit with good friction and requiring slight force, but stayed in place and allowed for a consistent fit/flow.

I am a return customer to FPR. I now have three pens all with ultra flex nibs. The company and service are the best. My only wish--and it's not a big one--is that the feeds supplied with ultra flex nibs keep the ink flow high enough to prevent railroading and stops. I get excited by flex and want to push the envelope, so this could be a me problem, but I have other flex pens (The Good Blue, for example), that have similar flex properties and never railroad or stop.

Everything always shows up as advertised. The nibs work great. The ultra flex is super fun for calligraphy and the extra fine writes pretty well on printer paper. I've had some trouble with the muft pens that came free with some orders. Neither worked well and both leaked from the nib, but I didn't pay for those so it's not a huge deal. Ober all a great company with some unique products at an un bested price.

EF nibs for Indus, write a nice very fine line. The threads that hold the Indus cap also work internally to connect grip section with barrel; 2 of my 8 Indus found a path to leak ink through those threads, 25% failure rate. If you can manage to unscrew the grip from barrel, a couple of dabs silicone grease on the threads in there solve the problem, but it isn't easy to unscrew.

I recently discovered this wonderful company and found the grail of flex nibs. Their ultraflex nib performs as well as my antique nibs and is a fountain pen nib so I can venture away from home without taking an inkwell and my dip pens. Their pens are beautiful and incredibly affordable! They are lighter than I prefer, but at their price I am more than happy with them. Shipping was speedy and Kevin is very helpful with technical advice questions.

Just purchased the Ambassador Fountain Pen with the architect nib. The service of FPR is great, prompt delivery, great price. However, for this particular pen it feels more like a straight broad nib than the architect nib. There was not any stub-like feel to the writing. If so, this would have been 5 stars.

I really like the pen. The nib has a little feedback like a Sailor fine, but I like that. This would be more like 4.5 stars, because the converter doesn't fill all the way through the feed when screwed in, and I have to take it out and fill it directly from the bottle. But once full, the pen feels nice, looks nice, posts pretty well, and writes great.
