I tried to contact FPL to change my account. The automatic system is infuriating and dumb and so is their website. I could not do it. Very long wait to talk to someone. They have a monopoly so they don't give a shit. They are overpriced and have lousy service. They have consistently bad ratings. However, their PR about how caring they are is well done bullshit.

They have NO CLUE what is going on. A big car accident took down a pole that supplies power to our street last evening FP&L got the downed equipment out of the road BUT DID NOT RESTORE THE POWER NOW THEY SEND US TEXTS AND EMAILS SAYING THE POWER IS RESTORED We have called repeatedly and repeatedly and repeatedly It has been almost 24 hours and there is still no truck here to make repairs - HORRENDOUS

This company can not seem to get to my home to fix the broken equipment on the line running to my home. The meter is broken. I have no stove, AC, washer, dryer and have to run an extension cord from an outside outlet to my fridge so I don't lose my food. They keep making appointments and never show up. I am living with the consequences of their broken equipment and inability to fix it. I assume, for them, if you are the only game in town, you do not care how long your customers wait.

The most confusing idiotic system for applying for service that anyone could ever imagine. Tried to complete on the phone and the robot could not understand anything. Online took forever and had to upload I D about ten times. This a m I got a robot call asking me if I intended to discontinue service? I don't even know what they're talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if the power gets cut off. They charged me $390 up front for electrical service but my credit score is 830? but what can you do since FPL is a monopoly and no other options are available.

Time to turn off the power at night and when I leave the house, no need to refrigerate what I can't afford the food tobput in it, because of my power bill. I miss guf power!

I am disgusted with FPL our bill in the winter time is normally on the low side about 180 which is still high if you ask me however our last bill was 425 I'm very upset it FPL they are thieves and a ripoff! Our bill in the summertime ranges from $500 to almost 600 no excuse FPL

FPL came and shut off our power for testing, the technician did not speak English. I tried to explain to him that people need to be informed before they do this. This was at our house only. There was no warning that they would shut off our power and do testing and that is EXTREMELY inconsiderate and worrying. Many people have medical devices at home that require power, and to shut off power to do a test without informing those who live there first is absolutely negligent. You can cause serious harm to someone who is reliant on a life-saving medical device. Because our power was suddenly turned off, I lost about a hour of work on a project I was working on on my computer. Thankfully, the test was over in just a few minutes, but I am not happy. Additionally, we have power surges all of the time. Multiple times a week, our digital clocks get reset, or lights flicker, etc. This is 100% FPL’s fault. Good luck trying to get a representative on the phone. I have been on hold for 2 hours now trying to speak with someone. It’s like this nearly every time I call in, at least an hour wait.
