On a bit of a whim having read some great reviews of this companies hi-fi products, I ordered the Fosi Audio Box X5 MM/MC Phono Preamplifier. It arrived within 3 days. I connected the X5 in place of my existing Carver MC preamp. Switching on it produced a very loud feedback noise! This was improved but not completely resolved by moving the X5 away from my Linn Lingo LP12 set up onto the shelf below. When I turned my AVI amp onto disc (LP) input the most dreadful noise came out my Proc Ac speakers. I tried playing an LP but the noise was so ridiculously loud & was distorting my speakers I aborted. Obviously I then double checked the connections which are simple which were fine of course. I then reconnected my Carver which worked fine but does not quite amplify my MC cartridge enough for me. The refund process was a bit prolonged but the quality of Linda in the after sales service was exemplary. I have requested that they let me know when they test the returned what the issue/fault was but I'll not hold my breath on that!! If however they do get back & report a specific fault I would order another to try because at £99 it's low risk anyway.

I've had the same issue as others, it's a good product if it arrived complete and undamaged, when there is a problem they will waste your time rather than simply resolve the issue. If you want to chance it with them, make sure you use PayPal or a credit card so you can charge back if it gets to that, because it unfortunately might. I hope Fosi takes note of these issues, they could be a good company if their service was improved even to just an acceptable level.

I would like to start positively - that is to say, having listened to the ZD3 DAC and V3 Mono amps, I think they sound great. There are some strange anomalies through HDMI, the sound has strange echo effect for a few seconds and then goes back to normal now and then, otherwise no problem. The remote is as cheap as they get, but works. Now to the reality of the Fosi Audio experience.. The DAC had parts missing and one of the amps has very noticeable cosmetic damage at the top front. As this was bought new, I would expect new condition, though understand mistakes happen, which is also when you learn whether a company is good or bad. Unfortunately Fosi Audio are exceptionally bad when it comes to communication and after sales, one email a day if you're lucky, and even then it makes little sense, and they will mess you around for as long as they can. I am at the point that despite enjoying the sound, I may just send it all back for a refund and try something else, they are astonishingly poor in their after sales, so if you do risk it, don't wait too long to get your money back if there is a problem. You may get lucky, some seem to, on here it seems 50/50 what experience you shall have, these aren't good odds when it comes to a purchase like this and your consumer rights. I hope Fosi sort it out, as they could be a decent brand if not for this, but until they fix the basics in their customer service, I would not have confidence in them and could not recommend them unfortunately.
