Disappointed with the Garmin Forerunner 45 – Broken Strap Lug
Disappointed with the Garmin Forerunner 45 – Broken Strap Lug After normal use, one of the strap attachment points broke directly off the watch case. The problem is not the strap itself, but the structural part of the case where the strap is attached. I find it unacceptable that a sports watch designed for running can develop this kind of structural failure. Even though the watch is out of warranty, I expected better durability, especially from a device specifically designed for sports and physical activity. As a result, the watch has become practically unusable without a repair, which may not even be available or economically worthwhile. I expected much better build quality from Garmin.
