In many cases the platform either didn't work at all due to bugs or it lacked features readily available from competing products. Furthermore I found the UI busy and hard to determine how to achieve my goal although it does seem that some use cases which were not my own have been streamlined. Its been more than a year since I tried it so maybe it has all been fixed. I tried the product several times over its life and consistently found gaps that drew me to alternative solutions. Need on-premise licence. Too expensive.

It is great! But still needs a lot of work, specially the “next” version. Never the less, I love using formio.

Somethings that could be improved: - It is suppossed to be OpenSource which is not completely true. - Platform is tied to MongoDB. - Documentation is not that clear that configuration must be made before downloading the client.
