Was happy to find a place to recycle unusable linens/shoes/clothes/etc! Credit only covers half of the cost of outrageously expensive items. SO NOT WORTH IT!! 3 stars for recycling. 0 stars for UNUSABLE credit. $175 for a t-shirt? Um, no. Will fill up the remaining Take Back Bags I still have, but will NOT BUY any more. SO SAD.

I loved this recycle concept when I first happened upon it, and have probably returned 5 or 6 bags over the last couple of years. I was able to redeem all of my closet cash for a great reusable tote, which I had also seen available at Nordstrom. However, my last bag purchases which generated over $100 in closet cash will likely be my last as I am now limited to the $20 closet cash per purchase restriction. There is no way I'm going to make multiple purchases that would probably end up costing three times my closet cash. This is a very disappointing outcome to what started as a worthy endeavor.

I love having a place to mindfully recycle clothes that cannot be donated but the closet cash is a joke. You can only use $20 per transaction, you cannot use it on more take back bags, and you must pay shipping (unless purchasing take back bags [TBB]). Cost of all items is quite high so even with $20 off an item it is still more than I'd pay in a retail store. Many items do not give sizes and the ones that do not usually provide a sizing chart (IE: there are 1-piece swimsuits currently available with no size selection or measurements, I haven't found any jeans on For Days that provide the inseam length). You cannot cancel an order; you can only return it through their customer service which takes a VERY long time to respond to emails. I do recommend using For Days but only if you are willing to pay to recycle your Un-donatable clothes, not if you are hoping for a return on your TBB investment.

I've spent hundreds of dollars on take back bags. I thought it was such an insane deal to get free money for old clothes. And I was right. Usually they don't let you use all/large quantities of your closet cash at once. They had a promotion over the holidays where you would be able to do just that. I tried to take advantage of it, but for whatever reason it did not redeem any of my closet cash and I was charged several hundred dollars. Luckily for me, their customer service was able to retroactively apply my closet cash. Unluckily for me, the whole process took a few weeks. So I ended up without a good chunk of necessary change out of my possession. Also, their customer service is either one single person or they assign someone to you. There's only one email address, and ever since I've used For Days it's the same name responding. Whatever the case, specific shout out to Pilar. Pilar is fantastic at their job. I can't imagine sifting through the customer service of a business WITHOUT a phone number. Really shifty to not offer a phone number to talk it out, especially when you're dealing with a monetary redemption system. Proceed with caution.

Edit: After trying to contact For Days additional times with no response, I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I'm done with this company. It's not worth the hassle. Edit: I have to change my review because of poor customer service. Their return policy allows you to exchange items that have been purchased with Closet Cash which I'd hope considering the customer is spending money to send their used clothing. I purchased a few things on the website that didn't work out due to sizing and was hoping to make an exchange. I inquired customer service about it on December 15th (2023) and they responded once. I gave them the items I needed to exchange and the new size or item I want to exchange for. They never responded. I inquired again 3 days ago and also no response. Such a waste of time. I'm pissed because I spent $60 on the bags, sent them my stuff, bought items on their website that didn't work out and now I'm stuck with more unusable clothes/items. --- I was surprised reading the reviews where others complained about the $20 Closet Cash limit per order and having to pay for shipping. When I purchased my Take Back Bag (set of 3, $60), this wasn’t in the terms or policies. When I received the bag and used my Closet Cash, I was able to spend all of it at once and I had a free shipping code; so not sure why it isn’t the case for the other reviewers. Maybe I got lucky? Anyway, it was totally worth it because I gave away a lot of old fabrics and clothes, and now I have a new top and some useful household stuff from For Days. This was truly a lifesaver because the other donation places are too far from me and it was a fair exchange, IMO. They got my old stuff, I got some new stuff. I truly hope they don’t change this program because I love it and I suggested it to 2 other people. Funny thing was, someone else recommend this to me first and I was super skeptical. It worked out at the end.

The mission is very positive. I could take my time filling the Take Back bag. However, the execution on a Take Back Bag needs more work. The QR code on my bag had to be manually entered to get to the electronic label. After a long wait, USPS wasn't able to use the QR code that was provided. I ended up paying for a label at UPS. This wouldn't necessarily be such a big deal if the bag wasn't $20. As a positive, customer service refunded me $3 to pay for the label I had to print at UPS. I may look for another option in the future due just due to hassle BUT it was an outlet to recycle something that is very hard to find an outlet to do so.

I love their whole idea. That and the fact that I love the everyday tee is why they get 3 stars. Otherwise, I’d give them 2. Their customer service is abominable. I tried to return/ exchange a couple tops ( because their sizing is all off, as everyone else says) and the process took an unreasonably long time. I spent a lot of time chatting with them over it. I don’t care if they are understaffed, hire more people. Bad customer service is just unacceptable these days. They can’t keep anything in stock, either, which is frustrating. How is the trade/ exchange process supposed to work if you can’t replace your old tee or other article? Last of all, they keep changing how they do the trades. It’s confusing and I feel like they are offering less and less for the trades each time. I’m going to hang on to my favorite tees, maybe buy a couple more when they are in stock, and not try to do the swaps. I’m also going to try out the tees from The Classic T Shirt Company. They just do tees and seem to have their act together. :)

Agree with most comments here; the sizing for their clothes is kinda off. For reference I'm 4'11 100lbs usually wear XS or XXS depending on brand. I ordered the rib polo (size S) & rib pants (XS) as a set; the polo was ok it's def a snug fit even for me and the pants were WAY too long (I should've read the inseam) so returned that. CS gave me a response within 24 hr with a printable return label. Ordered a Light LS (Medium) for my 6'3 bf and it was SO SHORT LOL. Looked like he was wearing a kids long sleeve with the short sleeves. Overall I think they should provide better sizing description for the clothes as it's hard to tell with the model photos... The white Light L/S looks baggy in the model photo but the green was def not baggy at all! Their new website revamp is nice, but could still use some work. My orders don't load correctly on the "My Closet" section under Account, as only every other product seems to be loaded vs. all. My returns don't show in the "Transactions" section either. I like the company/cause and products, just wish the sizing was consistent and the shopping experience a little more seamless.
