It seems as though the quality has gone down

The company is a mess. I was a customer when they first started, and they advertised that swaps of shirts would be $8 FOREVER. Go to archive.org to see that promise. They changed the pricing of the swaps to much more expensive pricing. Then the website issues. There was a time period over a couple of months where I was unable to login to my account to even order anything. Next, I ordered a ton of shirts from their imperfects sale and none of them were shipped to me, and I never received any notifications of delays at all for months. I assumed because of the holiday that they were backed up so I gave them some leeway. Contacted customer service and despite promises of contacting me on status in a timely manner, I didn’t receive responses until I ultimately issued a chargeback through my bank. Surprise, surprise, they didn’t have enough shirts in stock from my order once I finally heard back from customer service. Speaking of customer service, there used to be a very good concierge service where you were paired up with someone at the company who would respond basically within the hour. Now you’re lucky to receive a response within 24-48 hours. My last order with them, they sent out only 1 shirt from my 2 shirt order. After that I decided enough was enough and will never order from them again. SUCH A SHAME because of their sustainability efforts and high quality shirts. It’s not worth the frustration to order from them right now.
The Average C.
I think For Days is a very well-meaning, ethically-minded brand. Their clothes are quality-made. That being said, they have pretty poor customer service and responsiveness overall and parts of the shopping experience are just ridiculously bad, and it's NOT WORTH IT. 1) Their website is glitchy (messed up my receipt and overcharged me), and 2) they really don't know how to manage their own Trial Bag business model. 1) The Website Glitch – The first problem came when I was placing my order and checking out on the website. I got the Trial Bag, which allows you to pick 5 items for a deposit of $38. I mistakenly put 6 items in my cart (I was checking out on a mobile device and couldn't view the page properly), and went to checkout. The receipt told me my total was $38, which is the number I expected, so I didn't inspect more carefully (my mistake) and pressed checkout. My credit card company then alerted me I just made a purchase of $66 because For Days charged me $28 for that extra shirt and didn't tell me on the receipt (on the website receipt OR the emailed receipt – no prices written on that). Very bad UX. Had to contact Customer Support to fix this, which was inconvenient, but remained hopeful and excited to receive the order. 2) Trial Bag Fail – I ordered the Trial Bag and decided to only keep 2 items. I sent back the remaining 3 using THEIR provided return label BEFORE the return window of 7 days closed, and was expecting to only be charged for the difference between my original deposit and the price of those 2 items (as promised)! This did not happen, and they charged me a whopping $116 for stuff I didn't even keep. Also, the return instructions are unclear – did they want their fancy canvas bag back? And their return instructions on the website say "create a return in our portal" – THERE IS NO PORTAL, and no process to "create" or request a return. There's just a button on the Orders page that says "Print return shipping label," and apparently if you do that it doesn't show up on their backend that you returned the item. Contacted Customer Service about all this – provided all necessary information about the problem and tracking details. Got an infuriatingly vague email back saying, "don't worry, we'll get this all sorted out!"... I haven't heard back from them in 3 business days. Overall, I'm (obviously) very disappointed and frustrated with the shopping experience. Seems like something went wrong every step of the way. I will not buy again – I would rather give my business to more established sustainable brands who actually know what they're doing.
