They promised my gift card reward would arrive in 4-6 weeks. It's been 7 weeks and they don't respond to inquiries.

I've worked with tis place off and on through the years. It's gone from bad to worse. I'm beginning to think thrmthey may be having financial issues or at least integrity issues. Getting paid always did take patience and eventually a ticket to support to get paid. It's now been 6 weeks and support tickets are not being responded to. The surveys where you evaluate an item always functioned well, like clockwork. They pay well if you can get the reward. The online web questionnaires are another scam. How many times I answered questions 10, 15, even 20 minutes to be dumped out of the survey. It was a way for them to harvest what they need and not pay up. It's really been nothing but a joke. They need to get new management in here.

I wish I had read the reviews before investing my time in this company. I completed a survey over a month ago and still haven't been paid. There doesn't appear to be anyway to contact a live person for help. Moreover, many of their surveys pay less than a dollar. I joined Focus Group after having a great experience with NewtonX. They pay immediately - as soon as you submit your responses they send you an email to collect your payment.

I have worked with Focus group for years now and never had to wait over 7 weeks to be paid. From the other reviews I see it seems like when they partnered with Sago it has gone downhill. I reached out via their ticketing system 3 times with no answer.

No communication with it's panelists regarding incentives and takes a rediculous time to receive any incentives. Much better options out there than this rubbish. I requested a $60 virtual visa card on 5/20/2026. It is now 7/7/2026. Absolutely absurd amount of time to be waiting on compansation. When i first started doing studies for them it was about a 23 day wait time, and i would get responses to my inquiries if compensation had not come in that time frame. Now it's been a month and a half since requst and no replies to my attempts to reach out about it. I am about to call it quits with them, this is not how your suppose to treat the people who make your company go round. Horrible.

I am in my 5th week waiting on my reward. After waiting 2 months the first time, I swore not to go back. I did, cause i need the money. still taking too long to get my reward. never going back to them.

Other reviews are spot on. It takes forever for the points to appear in your account after doing a study. Then it takes an ADDITIONAL 6-8 weeks (usually 6) to get your gift card. I was willing to deal with that. I'd do a study and just forget about it until I'd get an email telling me the points had been added to my account. Then I'd put in for my gift card, forget about it, then get an email telling me it was ready. Sure, I'd much rather be paid within a week like most places, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I'd do the surveys they had that were worth doing as well for more points. Now, they changed the minimum payout to $50. It used to be $5. Their surveys are mostly NOT worth doing because the point values don't justify the time spent. However, you can find ones here and there and get a gift card. Not anymore. It will take FOREVER to build up enough points through surveys to get $50. Then a month and a half to get the gift card. No, thank you.

The company is a decent organization. They provide a good service for their sponsors. I have been participating in their focus groups for years. When I started out with them, they were paying cash on the spot, then it was by checks, then by gift card, and now by points that take 6-8 weeks to process and convert over to a virtual visa/mastercard or physical card. I have been trying to contact them to apprise them of my sickness and was requesting an exception to expediting processing from the typical 6-8 weeks to 2 weeks or less. My pleas have been ignored and their replies non-existent, and when replied, canned responses without addressing the special request. I wish this company would return to paying participants after completion of the study instead of forcing everyone to join their points rewards program that I along with others have no interest in joining. Other companies in the same space do not pay out their participants with points either paying in cash or immediate gift card. Please have someone contact me regarding my specific case, and if there will be major changes forthcoming to the time it takes to pay participants after completion of a focus group.
