I stayed here for FLY8MA's CFI Tailwheel Bootcamp training experience. Our group was given serious individualized flight instruction by Jon and his staff, but also we had incredible, clean accommodation, debriefings inside the Pilot Lodge's converted jet facilities, three meals each day from locally sourced ingredients, and the spectacular Alaskan scenery and territory made for inspiring and challenging flying, as well as tons to see and hike on breaks! Transportation to and from Anchorage airport was provided. The skills I learned will stick harder because of the setting and careful attention, and the pricing is unbelievable for what our group received. So much more than what I expected!

Extremely well laid out, in depth courses that are easy to understand and give you a vast amount of knowledge in all of the right areas. None of the other ground schools even come close!

During my training at Fly8MA, I learned more than I ever have. Their program taught me valuable lessons and skills that will forever help me in my aviation journey! Not to mention the beautiful views and experiences while I was training!

Had the opportunity to visit the Fly8MA pilot lodge for a CFI tailwheel bootcamp and wow. Jon and his staff does an amazing job accommodating us in very nice cabins, feeds us well and provides stellar instruction on how to become better tailwheel pilots as well as teaching high AOA skills that have direct correlation to the Alaskan backcountry. I highly recommend visiting the lodge when you’re in Alaska and if you don’t ever find yourself there you should buy a ground school. Jon’s pretty good at that too!

Had a great experience training with Fly8MA, great instructors and great training programs.

I really love this aviation training website! I'm doing the 2026 Private Pilot Ground School and Jon Kotwicki makes complex subjects easy to understand and comprehensible. Quizzes are a little challenging, but not too hard. Additionally, Fly8ma's customer service is excellent!

Fly8MA stands out from the rest for a few reasons: 1. Price: For a nominal fee, the value I gained far outweighed the cost. There are also a bunch of free courses to try out before you commit. 2. Support and Assistance: Jon went above and beyond to help with my entire pilot progression from PPL to CFI. 3. Quality Content: The way Jon breaks down concepts helped me better understand the core concepts. Instead of just parrot learning for the exams like some other mock exam platforms promote, I found I have a better understanding thanks to his videos. 4. The Pilot Lodge: After a couple years of working with Jon online through the online courses, I finally made a trip out to the lodge in Alaska. Highly recommend!!! 10/10 👌
