Hello Andy, We appreciate your honest feedback, and we're sorry for the confusion around stock and lead time. While we do carry stock on many items, high-demand or custom parts can move quickly—sometimes faster than our system can reflect in real time. This can unfortunately lead to situations where something appears in stock, but is actually on backorder. When our vendors don’t provide a clear lead time, we prefer not to guess or overpromise. We know this isn’t ideal, but we’d rather be upfront than risk disappointing you later. That said, your experience is a good reminder that we need to do better in how we communicate availability, and we’re actively working on it. Thanks again for taking the time to share.

However, due to high demand for certain specialized tools, our system may occasionally show items as in stock when they have already been reserved or sold. The model you requested is the highest in its series, and unfortunately, it was unavailable at the time your order was processed. We recognize that we should have made a greater effort to locate and offer you a comparable tool from a different brand within the same torque range.
