Five Before CollegeReviews of fivebeforecollege.com

The unique combination of elite mentors, talented students and the ability to extract a marketable and differentiating product from a young Muslim teenager that aligns with and perhaps even enhances their moral compass in just 8 weeks is amazing. Getting into the college of one's choice is the natural byproduct of the kind of character and practical development FBC promotes. Hats off to Hamza and co. for developing a first of its kind program to advance the next generation of the ummah!

This program was well structured and helped our daughter reflect on herself to build clarity about how her passions could be turned into practical ways of making a difference in the world. The coaches were attentive and helpful. The social connections she made were rich. The challenges were few: (1) the program was scaling up this year so there were some logistical kinks that still needed to be worked out; (2) the program was more intense than I expected so we were glad we did it in the summer; (3) there was a lot of content so the meetings often ran longer than expected. Overall we were glad we signed up and felt we got our money’s worth.

Very organized. Right sized groups that can give personal attention. Coaches are really good and caring

I liked how personal the mentor got with students, I really enjoyed hearing their perspective and ideas but I wish that they would make sure the student knew what they were doing and what was going on.

5 Before College allowed me to start my essay when I had no idea where to start. They provided so many feedback opportunities so we understood how to frame our essay.

I love that FBC mentors genuinely care about student success. Br. Hamzah went out his way to accommodate my son and check on his progress, MashaAllah tabarakAllah. One of my Duas for my kids is to have excellent Muslim mentors whom Allah loves, as it truly takes a village to raise a child. Nothing beats Akhira focused youth mentorship. I'm so grateful my son not only found a great mentor, but also his tribe of like minded peers. Alhamdullillah. May Allah allow FBC to help more Muslim youth become excellent servers of the Ummah.

Great program designed for an age group that needs to identify their strengths and allows them to work towards their passion in a comfortable Islamic environment. Also allows to network with like-minded students and open up avenues that students may not even know to explore. I’ve personally heard these students projects and myself as a parent have started to think about my own passion projects that have been bottled up for so long! Keep up the good work!

Our 8th-grade son just completed FYQ (Find Your Qibla); a 2-month program that aims to help youth surface what their purpose in life may be, and put it in action. The program includes talks, group discussions, 1:1 coaching, and culminates in a passion project. MashaAllah the coaches are excellent (passionate, gentle, capable, wise) and know how to work with youth. Our coach was Br. Patrick B. The program structure is engaging, and the material is thoughtfully curated. We had some doubts mid program about the pace/priorities, but in the end it was a very positive experience. May Allah put Barakah in this work.
