We’re really sorry to hear how upsetting this experience has been. That’s not how we want anyone to feel, and we take concerns about billing and trust very seriously. Our products are sold as subscriptions with renewal details shown at checkout, but we understand that this can sometimes be confusing, and we’re actively working to make this clearer and easier to manage. We want to make this right, since Trustpilot doesn’t share order details, we’re escalating this internally and ask that you contact our support team directly with your order information so we can review your account promptly and resolve this as quickly as possible.

I thought I purchased a one time order…
I thought I purchased a one time order but it was a subscription and received a 258 dollar charge to my surprise less than 30 days after ordering that I had no idea was going to occur. They make it VERY difficult to cancel subscriptions.
Response from First DayJan 7, 2026
We’re truly sorry to hear about the unexpected charge and the frustration this caused. Truly, not the experience we want for you. While our checkout does show a 30-day renewal, we recognize that when purchasing multiple months at once, that expectation isn’t always clear, and we take responsibility for making this easier to understand and manage. We’re actively reviewing how subscription options are presented to prevent this going forward. Since Trustpilot doesn’t share customer details, please reach out to us directly via chat or email with your order number, and we will review it right away to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

The vitamins were all stuck together in…
The vitamins were all stuck together in a big glob. Be very careful with the “subscribe and save” option, it billed me for two months every month and the company will not refund your money. It feels like a scam.
Response from First DayJan 4, 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience, Teryn. We’re really sorry to hear about the issue with your vitamins and understand how frustrating that must have been. Regarding the “Subscribe & Save” option, we want to clarify that it’s fully optional; customers can always choose between a one-time purchase or a subscription.
For subscriptions, the billing is based on the quantity and frequency selected at the time of the initial purchase. This ensures your products arrive consistently without interruption.
We truly value your feedback and want to make sure every experience with us is a positive one. Please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can assist further.

Teens don’t like it; bad customer service
My teens hate the smell & flavor but I’ve fought them to take the vitamins. We’ve seen no difference. Buyer beware customer service won’t work with you after their “45 day” window. It was also challenging to actually cancel my subscription. I thought I had but apparently “paused” it, so just be careful with this company. I asked if they would consider sending upcoming subscription reminders & they intentionally do not do that (that’s what they told me). They don’t care about their customers, only getting your money.
Response from First DayJan 4, 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Carianne. We’re sorry to hear that the taste and smell didn’t work for your teens—taste can be quite subjective, and we understand it’s not always easy to find something everyone enjoys.
We do offer a 45-day satisfaction guarantee on the first purchase to help ensure customers have a positive experience. For subscriptions, customers can choose the frequency that works best and have full control to pause, skip, or cancel at any time through their account.
We really appreciate your feedback, and we’ll continue looking for ways to make our products and subscription experience as smooth and helpful as possible. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us!

Make sure you order regular mail for no extra charges. Only speaking from experience. As soon as it's expedited, it seems to flag extra charges through USPS
Attention:
People are often quick to leave reviews when something goes wrong — understandably, because fair treatment matters. But I also believe it’s just as important to acknowledge when a company takes responsibility and does the right thing. In this case, while the process had its challenges, First Day ultimately handled the situation with integrity, and I appreciate the effort they made to resolve it properly.
---
I want to update my experience with First Day, as the company ultimately handled a complicated situation in a very solution-oriented way.
I placed my order at the end of November, intending it as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, the first shipment never actually went out — only a shipping label was created — and after a month had passed with no delivery, the gift was missed. At that point, First Day promptly sent a replacement order, which I appreciated given how much time had already passed.
When that replacement was expedited via USPS, I was unexpectedly charged $68 CAD in release/import fees. This fee was not disclosed at checkout and was frustrating as a Canadian customer. After I raised the issue, First Day fully reimbursed the $68, which I genuinely appreciated.
What neither I nor the company expected was that the original order eventually arrived on January 9th via regular mail, with no extra charges at all. It appears the package had been lost or delayed in tracking. As a result, I did end up receiving extra bottles, but I understand why First Day acted quickly to reship once it was clear something had gone wrong.
For Canadian customers, it’s worth noting that regular shipping did not result in any additional fees, while expedited USPS shipping did — something to keep in mind when ordering.
On the product side, my two teenagers have tried the vitamins so far and like the taste, and the packaging is very well done. I’ll update further once we’ve had more time with the product.
While the initial experience was frustrating, I give credit where it’s due: First Day was responsive, fair, and focused on resolving the issue, and I appreciate the effort they made to make things.

Thank you for sharing this, Michelle. We’re truly sorry for how this experience turned out. You’re right to expect transparency and timely delivery, and the combination of the initial shipping issue, delays, and the unusually high release fee made this far more stressful than it should have been, especially for a holiday gift.
While our FAQ explains that Canadian orders are shipped DDU and may incur duties or fees, the amount you were charged is not typical, and we understand why it feels unreasonable. We want to take a closer look and work toward a meaningful resolution. Since Trustpilot doesn’t provide contact details, please reach out to us via chat or email so we can review your order and make this right.

These might be the best vitamins but…
These might be the best vitamins but trying to buy them without a subscription is an ordeal. I put them in my cart I went to check out only to notice I had accidentally chosen a subscription. I took them out of my cart I tried again there are all these ads that popup repeatedly making it difficult to make a purchase. I put a purchase in my cart at 3 times only to notice that the subscription was chosen more popups come up asking for my email, my cell #, suggesting offers. I gave up, bought nothing but at least I am not stuck getting a repeated subscription that I don't want.

Thank you for sharing this, and we're so sorry the checkout experience felt confusing and frustrating. Our valued customers should always be able to choose a one-time purchase easily. We’re sharing this with our team to simplify the process, and if you reach out via chat or email, we’ll help you place a clean one-time order with no subscription attached.

Do not order if in Canada. Placed order and had to pay $45 in duty…
Placed order and had to pay $45 in duty to get into Canada and I still don't have my order. Ordered Dec 1 and it's now the 17th and my order has not moved in over a week. Super disappointed. Also, automatic subscription is brutal to try to get removed. Was looking forward to using these but between cost and no delivery not ok. Would not recommend if in Canada.
Response from First DayDec 19, 2025
Thank you for your feedback, Carolyn. We’re deeply sorry for the experience you’ve had. Import duties in Canada can be unexpectedly high, and we know how frustrating it is to face those fees and still not have your order delivered. Your package shouldn’t be stalled this long, and we want to make sure this gets corrected. Since Trustpilot doesn’t share contact details, please reach out to us via chat or email so we can immediately check your shipment, address the duty concern, and help with your subscription. We want to turn this around for you.
