Paid $5000, Books still not caught up. I’m now facing tax penalties.
I have been paying this company $249 a month for 18 months. They have done absolutely nothing. My books are so far behind that I’m facing tax penalties for two years. I’ve spent $4,731 dollars with them, they can’t even get the books for one month right. They’re now being bought out by a bigger company called Inkle. Hiring this company is the worst mistake I’ve ever made in my career.

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
I paid Finally for approximately three years of back bookkeeping, and my experience has been horrendous.
After finally having the work reviewed in detail, we discovered that the books we paid Finally to prepare are essentially unusable. Our accountant, who has been practicing for 45 years, told us he has never seen bookkeeping done this badly.
This isn't about a handful of mistakes or transactions that needed clarification. The problems are pervasive.
I have personally spent approximately 60 HOURS going through thousands upon thousands of transactions line by line for just 2024 and 2025, reclassifying transactions that Finally put into completely incorrect categories.
Some examples of what I found:
• More than $50,000 incorrectly classified as partner distributions. These were NOT partner distributions. Had I simply trusted the books we paid Finally to prepare, this could have had serious tax consequences for us.
• Tenant payments that were clearly rental income placed into partner distributions.
• Payments to an Airbnb cleaner incorrectly categorized.
• Lawn-care payments to a company literally called “Forever Green” incorrectly categorized.
• Pest-control expenses incorrectly categorized.
• More than $13,000 in title-company proceeds moving in and out of the account without anyone apparently stopping to ask us what the transactions were.
• A payment of more than $5,000 categorized as VEHICLE GAS.
• U-Haul storage expenses categorized as LEGAL FEES.
And these are merely examples. I found significant errors in virtually every category I reviewed.
Even worse, information originally imported into QuickBooks appears to have been overwritten. Payee names and other useful identifying information were replaced with generic descriptions that sometimes had seemingly nothing to do with the actual transaction. This made untangling the books even more difficult.
Bookkeeping companies will inevitably encounter transactions they cannot identify. That is understandable. What I cannot understand is apparently guessing where transactions belong rather than asking the client for clarification—especially when dealing with transactions involving thousands or tens of thousands of dollars.
I paid a professional bookkeeping company precisely so that I would NOT have to spend dozens of hours manually auditing and reconstructing my own books.
After paying Finally for roughly three years, I am now faced with paying another company to fix the work we already paid Finally to do. The cost of correcting it will significantly exceed the refund I have requested.
Despite the fact that we have serious issues with all three years of work, I have NOT asked Finally to refund everything we paid them. I have requested a refund of only the most recent 12 months and cancellation of our account going forward. Given the circumstances, I believe that is an extremely reasonable request.
At this point, I simply do not trust Finally with our books.
For any business owner considering Finally, my advice is to carefully review the underlying transactions yourself and have an independent accountant examine the books before relying on them for tax filings or financial decisions.
I wish I had done that much sooner.

We will be late for the 2nd year in a row and items we had categorized still remain wrong. Now the accountants can’t finish their return because we need to correct at finally.

WHAT A FREAKING MESS!
WHAT A FREAKING MESS!
Bookkeeping: Supposed to be "easy", "automatic", "AI assisted".
- Plaid de-links all of the time. Several of my accounts won't link at all. Even the ones that do link (temporarily), they constantly need me to manually upload documents anyway.
- They send me lists of transaction that are HUNDREDS of items long that they need me to explain what they are for - so much for AI.
- Our PnL chart of accounts were partially generated when we first started Jan 2026. They have not been updated ONCE since then (now Aug 2026) and when I ask for PnL's, the response is usually "well, we need to to upload these 15 items first". When they finally sent me some PnL's, it was NOT in there platform - they sent them as attachments to an email.
Expense Cards: They started us off with $25k limit. We paid them off, IN FULL, EVERY MONTH, ON TIME. Then, WITHOUT ANY WARNING OR COMMUNICATION, they shut our cards off! I found out because all of my employees started telling me their cards weren't working. After I inquired what the problem was, they said they would review it and get back to me in 30 days. WHAT?!?!?! You literally walked me through removing all of our credit cards from every expense we make so we could run 100% on Finally, and then do this???? (BTW, I NEVER heard back about the reason why, and they refuse to reinstate us.)
Outrageously, HORENDOUS experience. We're not a huge company, but I'm not a solo operator. We have 15 employees, and average around $1million in revenue each year. I'm literally so baffled at how horrible this was.
Just pay for Xero, and do it yourself. It will be easier, more data-rich, and custom to however you want to see it. Plus, they have their own built-in AI to help you handle reconciliation.

Horrible
We received our cards starting end of June 2025. I was extremely happy with the ease of the website and policies you could enforce until on 06/04/26, as many others have stated, they took our credit limit to zero WITHOUT warning. We have employees states away that depend on their cards for fuel, materials, and out of town expenses. They were left stranded. All of the automatic safety alliance charges that are set to auto pay were denied pulling us from a job. It has been a nightmare. I started with the chat immediately because I couldn't find a phone number. He tells me same auto response. He is unable to help me only risk management can help. Risk management doesn't have a phone number and you can only reach them through their support email. He then gives me a number to call but makes sure I know there isn't anything they can do either. And of course he was right that what she told me as well. I emailed support that same day. I was told it could take up to 30 days to get a response. It is now 07/14 and I still have not received a response. I urge everybody to DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Same experience as many others
Same experience as many others: after a year, our account was suddenly canceled with no explanation, and over $ 1,500 in credits were lost.
Was never able to get a reply.
Not a good business to work with; plenty of better business partners.

SCAM! Rewards program, NO NOTICE
I've been a Finally corporate cardholder for 8 months. When I signed up, I was told the Rewards Program required a minimum 1-year holding period before points could be redeemed. I held up my end of that agreement.
With no warning, Finally sent a notice stating the Rewards Program is being "terminated effective immediately" and that any accrued rewards are "no longer eligible for redemption" this came right after they also told me my Corporate Card account itself was being closed. I had $13,033.65 in accrued rewards at the time.
I never had a chance to redeem anything, because Finally cancelled the program before the redemption window they themselves set even opened for me. This isn't a case of a rewards program simply changing they made it structurally impossible for me to ever collect what I earned, then closed the account on top of it without any noticce.
If you're considering Finally for a corporate card, know that they can cancel your card and your rewards balance with no notice and no path to redemption, even if you're well within whatever terms they originally gave you. I had a limit of $150k and was spending good 6 figure amount every month with no late payment ever. Communication sucks. STAY AWAY from this company
