Do Better, Finally

As a startup, I'm pretty bummed to write this review of another startup. I ignored the reviews showing poor customer service, lengthy onboarding and lack of results. Boy was I wrong. Similar to the other reviews, I signed up, paid and was told it would take 8 to 12-weeks for onboarding. After passing the 12-week mark, I was sent an email stating that my account was in Phase 3 (of 5 total phases). It was clear to me at that point that Finally utilizes the 8 to 12-week portion of their sales pitch to charge 3 months of payments with little to no actual work. At least in my case, over 12+ weeks they never once signed into my Quickbooks and bank accounts. With their claim of using AI to categorize transactions, it's very suspect that their process seems to take so much longer than what they estimate. Since a large portion (if not all) of their services are outsourced, it's pretty obvious that they aren't able to keep up. Even worse, they rarely ever answer calls and can take up to 4-days to reply to email messages. All of this is extremely concerning from a company that's provided access to client bank accounts and sensitive details. I decided to work with an accountant directly since the monthly expense is relatively consistent. Within the first 24 hours, I've already received questions from the accountant to better understand my transactions. Apparently that happens with Finally at month 4 of onboarding...smh. Do better, Finally.

STAY AWAY
I initially signed with Finally in spring of 2024 to get my books in order. They continually asked for duplicate information and despite having access to all of my on line information they could never seem to find anything. Fast forward to July 2025; I do not have an accurate P&L for 2024 or for YTD 2025. Every time they send me a P&L for review something is wrong. A few examples... no revenue and/or inaccurate revenue numbers; no payroll numbers or at 50% of actual numbers. These numbers are captured electronically. What are they looking at??!! I have repeatedly tried to schedule a call with anyone but their calendars are full months out and they do not respond to that issue at all. I have just requested my account be brought up to date and my $$ refunded but I am not hopeful.

Onboarded in September of last year…
Onboarded in September of last year (2024). Have not received any p&l’s. Paid to have taxes done, 6 months later I still have nothing. They keep billing me though. The level of communication is a joke. I’ve spoken to 15 different people, who ask me for the same documents that of already produced. I would never recommend this company to anyone!

Horrible
Horrible, horrible service. Inaccurate reports. Impossible to cancel service. No refunds are given despite the reports are not usable. At this point, I assume this is a complete scam. I receive constant emails asking for feedback, and they refuse to acknowledge that I cancelled the service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you're prepared for reports you can't use and would like to pay monthly indefinitely.

Don't Let Yourself Get Scammed
Stay far away. This is a scam. We paid them $299 a month to get and keep our books in order. Not only did they not get our books in order or offer the level of communication they promised our books are in even worse shape than they were when we started and real, professional accountants are asking close to $10,000 just to do a clean-up.

Horrible! I’ve been trying to get answers to questions. I have sent multiple emails and there has been no response. Today I informed the company I wanted to cancel my contract. Very frustrating when you’re not provided information you request. I have paid this company several hundred dollars and they will not even confirm that an extension on my tax return has been filed. I informed them I needed this information for business purposes several weeks ago but no response. I was told I would be given the information but that hasn’t happened. There is no excuse for inordinate delays and not responding to emails. I definitely do not recommend this company.

Aggressive to sell, slow to deliver
I tried Finally.com to make my bookkeeping easier, but it just caused more headaches. – Support is super slow. I waited days for replies and had to follow up constantly. – They missed deadlines for monthly reports and didn’t tell me why. – Different people kept emailing me, and none seemed to know my business. – The pricing isn’t clear. I got charged extra for things that should’ve been included. – The tech broke often, and I had to upload things manually. I ended up switching to a smaller service that actually responds and gets things done. Wouldn’t recommend Finally unless your business is extremely simple.
